Tottenham have confirmed that Radu Dragusin has undergone a successful knee surgery
Tottenham Hotspur had 11 players missing for their trip to Aston Villa on Sunday where they were beaten 2-1 and eliminated from the FA Cup.
Dominic Solanke, Destiny Udogie, Guglielmo Vicario, Micky van de Ven, Cristian Romero, James Maddison, Brennan Johnson, Wilson Odobert, Richarlison and Radu Dragusin were among the absentees. Ange Postecoglou, who has come under a lot of fire since back-to-back eliminations from domestic cup competitions last week, received a triple injury boost on Tuesday ahead of Spurs’ crucial Premier League clash against Manchester United.
The Lilywhites also shared an update on the progress of Radu Dragusin, who is currently on the mend from a serious injury. The centre-back has ended up playing a lot of games than one would have expected at the beginning of this season, thanks largely to the injury problems of first-choice centre-back pairing Romero and Van de Ven.

As a result, the Romanian international played regularly over recent months. Unfortunately, Dragusin suffered an ACL injury in Tottenham’s 3-0 Europa League win over IF Elfsborg last month. The defender has subsequently been ruled out for the rest of the 2024/25 season. He was set to undergo surgery on his right knee after suffering an ACL injury.
On Tuesday, Tottenham confirmed that the 23-year-old has undergone a successful surgery on his right knee. The Bucharest-born talent seemed to be in good spirits after the operation as he posed for the photo by flexing his arms.
Dragusin has vowed to “come back stronger as soon as possible” after going under the knife to repair his ACL. He shared an update of his successful surgery on his official Instagram account, thanking all the messages of encouragement and continuous support from all across the globe.

It has been a cruel end to the Romanian’s season. The 23-year-old was getting opportunities to make a name for himself in the Premier League, and while his performances were not consistent, it was actually proving to be a learning curve for him. The centre-half had made 28 appearances across all competitions this season before suffering a serious knee injury two weeks ago.
It will be a long road back for Dragusin, but we are sure he will have the support of everyone at Tottenham – from his teammates, and staff to our loyal fans.
