Tottenham leading the race for Juventus attacker; £50million fee mooted

Dušan Vlahović offered to Tottenham, Man United, and Chelsea

Tottenham Hotspur receive massive boost in their pursuit of Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic in the summer

Tottenham Hotspur were desperate to bring in an attacker during the January transfer window in the wake of an injury crisis. They managed to land Mathys Tel on loan from Bayern Munich on transfer deadline day.

Tel has made a positive impression across three Spurs appearances, scoring a goal. However, Ange Postecoglou is already looking for potential additions as he looks to revamp his attacking unit ahead of the 2025/26 season.

According to an exclusive report from GIVEMESPORT, Tottenham have emerged as early frontrunners for the signing of Juventus centre-forward Dusan Vlahovic as their London rivals Chelsea and Arsenal are unsure that he is an ideal profile for their respective managers.

Doubts creeping in both Chelsea and Arsenal camps have boosted Spurs’ hopes of landing Dusan Vlahovic, whose future at Juventus has become uncertain following the loan arrival of Randal Kolo Muani from Paris Saint-Germain last month.

As a result, Juventus are open to sanctioning the Serbian international’s sale in the summer. Plus, discussions over a new contract have reached an impasse, resulting in the striker’s dip in stock. He has fallen behind Kolo Muani in the pecking order under Thiago Motta.

The aforementioned report adds that Vlahovic, who has been an unused substitute in Juve’s last two Serie A games, is now rated at around £50million. The 25-year-old would like to play in the Premier League if he leaves the Turin giants at the end of the season, and Tottenham’s biggest competition could come from Newcastle United.

Spurs may have also face potential hurdles in landing the Belgrade-born star as there are fears that he would possess second thoughts over battling club-record signing Dominic Solanke for a regular starting spot under Big Ange and taking a sizeable pay cut in order to smoothen the switch to White Hart Lane.

Given the likes of Richarlison and Timo Werner are expected to be moved on at the end of the season, and Son Heung-min’s powers are visibly on the wane, the Lilywhites need to invest in a marquee forward signing for the second summer running following Solanke’s acquisition last year.

And Vlahovic could be that player, who at 25 still has some years left before hitting his peak. The Serbian perhaps needs a change of environment to regain his mojo and that may very well happen at Spurs under Big Ange’s guidance.

If Spurs are to get back into the top-four conversation next year, we will need to make significant investments in quality players. And signing a quality striker in Vlahovic would be a step in the right direction.
