Tottenham Hotspur receive massive boost in their pursuit of Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic in the summer
There have been loud calls among the Tottenham Hotspur fans to bring in a new forward given how Ange Postecoglou has been struggling for competent depth and quality in the offensive department.
Spurs were desperate to sign an attacker in the past winter window, and after a lot of hullabaloo, they managed to land Mathys Tel on loan from Bayern Munich. While they have the option to make his loan move permanent in the summer, Tel’s decision to stay at the club or not will be the most crucial factor.
As a result, the club chiefs are already looking for potential additions as they look to revamp Ange Postecoglou’s roster ahead of the 2025/26 season. Tottenham have reportedly emerged as the early frontrunners for the signing of Juventus centre-forward Dusan Vlahovic, although they face competition from their London counterparts Chelsea and Arsenal.

Juventus are open to sanctioning Dusan Vlahovic’s exit at the end of the season, with the Serbian striker having fallen behind Randal Kolo Muani in the pecking order. He is now rated at around £50million.
Spurs’ interest in Vlahovic comes amid uncertain futures of Son Heung-min, Richarlison and Timo Werner. The experienced troika could be offloaded at the end of the season, and to replace them sufficiently, the club chiefs have to bring in quality players. It appears now though the Lilywhites have got some encouragement in their pursuit of Vlahovic.
Ex-Spurs scout Bryan King feels a player of Vlahovic’s quality would be welcomed with open arms at White Hart Lane.
“I’ve said all along that Spurs need a goalscoring centre-forward,” Bryan King exclusively told Tottenham News.
“Somebody who will score goals consistently. Therefore, a player of Vlahovic’s quality and experience would certainly be welcomed to Tottenham. However, it would likely mean another striker is moved on.
“This would be a good signing for the club, but it would need to be as a replacement for somebody else. For me, Richarlison is the player who would need to be moved on. Solanke has only been at the club for half a season.”

Spurs broke their transfer record to sign Dominic Solanke from Bournemouth before the start of the 2024/25 campaign. The England international was shouldering the responsibility of leading the Big Ange-managed side’s attack all alone before he suffered an injury last month, ruling him out until March.
Richarlison returned from a hamstring injury at the end of January, only to suffer a fresh calf problem in the 4-0 thrashing of Liverpool in the Carabao Cup. The Brazilian’s Spurs career has been ravaged by injury problems and it is high time he must be moved on. And someone like Vlahovic would be an upgrade over the injury-prone Richarlison at N17.

Fast, athletic and powerful, Vlahovic would be a great option to bolster Tottenham’s attacking ranks. The Serb has a proven goalscoring track record in European football and could hugely profit from a fresh start in the Premier League. Thus, bringing the ex-Fiorentina star to the club could certainly ease some of the pressure on Solanke.
