Tottenham are leading the race for Crystal Palace star Eberechi Eze ahead of the summer transfer window
Son Heung-min has had a disappointing 2024/25 campaign as Tottenham Hotspur continue enduring one of their worst seasons in recent years.
The South Korean has played more than most of his teammates so far this term, though has returned just six goals in 22 Premier League appearances. The North Londoners activated the one-year option in their skipper’s contract last month, securing his future until the end of 2025/26 season.
However, Son Heung-min’s powers are visibly on the wane and it has reportedly left question marks over his long-term future and whether he will remain one of the first names on the team sheet when Ange Postecoglou gets all his forwards back from injury. Keeping that in mind, the Hotspur Way chiefs have started scouring the market for potential Son replacements.

According to an exclusive report from TBR Football, Crystal Palace star Eberechi Eze has emerged as one of Tottenham’s top summer targets. Ange Postecoglou wants Spurs to sign the playmaker ahead of the 2025/26 season.
Eberechi Eze has been heavily linked with a move to White Hart Lane in the last couple of years. Spurs were keen to sign the England international during the winter transfer window but a move didn’t materialise. Several big Premier League clubs have been vying for the 26-year-old’s signature, with Arsenal, Manchester City and Liverpool all monitoring his situation at Palace closely.
Eze has not had the best of campaigns in a Palace shirt, failing to replicate last season’s incredible performances and goal contributions. Yet, the Greenwich-born talent has netted two goals and registered five assists in 21 Premier League and will be one of the highly coveted players heading into the summer transfer window.

The aforementioned report adds Tottenham are leading the race for Eze, having already done groundwork on bringing him across the capital. The English creative midfielder has a release clause in excess of £60 million and Palace will demand to meet it for any deal.
At 26, we assume Eze has his best years ahead of him. He is rated among the exciting attacking talents in the Premier League and possesses the qualities to potentially thrive in Ange Postecoglou’s attacking, high-pressing system at Tottenham. If the England international can manage to keep himself fit, he’ll be an asset for any club, let alone the Lilywhites.
