Tottenham star Son Heung-min wanted by Saudi Pro League duo Al-Ittihad and Al-Hilal in the summer
After a disastrous season, the majority of the Tottenham Hotspur squad can have no complaints if the club chiefs look to offload them in the summer.
One of the Spurs enduring an underwhelming time on the pitch has been Son Heung-min. The veteran forward has played more than most of his teammates so far this term, though has returned just six goals and seven assists in 22 Premier League appearances.
The North Londoners activated the one-year option in the South Korean star’s contract last month, securing his future at N17 until the end of the 2025/26 season. However, that hasn’t stopped speculation surrounding the future of Son Heung-min.

According to an exclusive report from CaughtOffside, Saudi Pro League clubs are keeping tabs on Son’s situation at White Hart Lane. Al-Hilal and Al-Ittihad both are willing to splash up to €50m for the Tottenham captain in the summer.
Son’s alarming dip in performance levels this season has left the club chiefs concerned. The South Asian superstar has lost a yard of pace or two, and looks a bit sluggish and devoid of self-belief. The versatile attacker’s powers are visibly diminishing which has reportedly left question marks over his long-term future at White Hart Lane and whether he will remain one of the first names on the team sheet when Ange Postecoglou gets all his forwards back from injury.
Keeping that in mind, Spurs have already started scouring the market for potential Son replacements. They have set their sights on Crystal Palace playmaker Eberechi Eze to replace Son ahead of the 2025/26 campaign.
While the idea of selling Son was once considered ridiculous, Tottenham are now open to cashing him in at the end of the season. The South Korean ace will enter the final year of his contract in June, and with speculation surrounding his long-term future rife, this could well turn out to be his final season in a Spurs shirt.

There are absolutely no doubts about Son being a modern-day club legend, and when stars such as Harry Kane, Christian Eriksen, Dele Alli and Hugo Lloris have all left Spurs, he has stayed loyal to the club and our fans. His commitment and pride to wear the famous white stripes has been second to none.

However, the time has come for our club to part ways with the legendary Son. It would be best for both parties to go their separate ways in the summer and seek their own paths.
There perhaps would not be any European clubs who’d pay as much as €50m for a player of Son’s diminishing value and age, so if the cash-rich Saudi Pro League clubs come calling for his signature, Daniel Levy must cash in on our skipper.
