Daniel Levy has been involved in a forward target roulette in the January transfer window, where we saw Tottenham Hotspur being linked with multiple attackers that could revamp Ange Postecoglou’s front line, but none of those transfers materialised until the 62-year-old club chairman brought in French sensation Mathys Tel; however, before considering the 19-year-old Bayern Munich winger, the chiefs at Hotspur Way closely looked at Borussia Dortmund’s English sensation Jamie Gittens.
Gittens has garnered a high reputation given his flair and ability to get a grip on the game, and he has been putting in those exemplary performances in the Bundesliga this season, where he has 11 goal contributions, and the North Londoners are expected to renew their interest in the 20-year-old when the summer transfer window comes around as a €100 million clause intention was reported last week.
But Tottenham aren’t alone in his signatures…
Jamie Gittens transfer war – Tottenham, Arsenal, Man City, and Chelsea in summer showdown

Spurs Premier League rivals Manchester City are interested in bringing their academy graduate back to English shores, with Pep Guardiola looking to secure Gittens’ signature amid growing interest from the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea, Real Madrid, and Tottenham. According to a recent report by Defensa Central, the Spaniard is determined to land the English winger in the off-season as he pushes the chiefs at Etihad Stadium to invest in a player who can do wonders.
For Man City, they need some flair in that left flank given how Jeremy Doku and Jack Grealish are enduring underwhelming campaigns, and getting in Gittens will bring in that much-needed creative outlet out wide. While Arsenal’s interest in landing competition (and backup) to Gabriel Martinelli and Bukayo Saka is well documented. Then comes Chelsea, who are looking to add wingers to the roster at Stamford Bridge as they look to move on from Mudryk, who has been suspended after failing a doping test. And finally, Real Madrid, can do with a bit of depth in their attackers offering width.
Speaking about Tottenham, they do need to add more players upfront given how they have lacked clinicality all season. Moreover, Gittens can fill up the highly expected departure of Timo Werner and can start a process of succeeding ageing Heung-Min Son, who is also linked with a White Hart Lane exit.
