Tottenham eyeing sensational double swoop of rival Premier League stars

Tottenham are plotting a sensational raid on Crystal Palace for their stars Eberechi Eze and Marc Guehi

Tottenham Hotspur have had a disappointing season, with Ange Postecoglou’s side still slumped all the way down in 13th place in the Premier League table.

The North Londoners have been decimated by injuries, leading to their underwhelming performances and results. To address the lack of depth, the club made three signings during the winter transfer window. Given how things have panned out this season, it would not be surprising if the Hotspur Way chiefs look to revamp the squad.

One imagines the Lilywhites will be making major moves when the transfer window opens again in the summer, and they seem to have started laying the brickworks for it. According to an exclusive report from GIVEMESPORT, Tottenham are eyeing a double swoop for Crystal Palace stars Marc Guehi and Eberechi Eze.

Spurs made a shock £70m offer to sign Marc Guehi during the winter window, which Crystal Palace immediately rebuffed. This led to them looking out for alternative targets and Ange Postecoglou had to settle with Kevin Danso on loan in the end.

The England international has been the subject of intense speculation in recent months with links away from Selhurst Park. Most of the Premier League bigwigs want to sign the Eagles skipper in the summer, so Spurs are expected to face stiff competition to land his signature. The North London club’s interest in Guehi hasn’t cooled down despite their bid getting rejected last month and will try their luck again with a fresh approach ahead of the 2025/26 season.

As for Eberechi Eze, who remains one of Tottenham’s top targets, the aforementioned report adds that the Hotspur Way chiefs are keen to find out whether it would be possible to get his signature if they table an offer that falls below the player’s £68million buyout clause—which is due to reactivate in the summer.

However, there is less optimism of that happening as Palace view Eze as a vital component in Oliver Glasner’s side and will want his suitors to pay the full release clause. The 26-year-old remains an ambitious target for Tottenham, with his skill set, experience and versatility capable of refreshing Big Ange’s attacking options and adding more potency in the final third of the pitch.

It is understood that Spurs will attempt to gauge whether both Guehi and Eze would be interested in swapping Selhurst Park for the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium before deciding whether to test Palace’s resolve with bids for their stars when the transfer window reopens this summer.

More Tottenham Hotspur News:

Highly rated, technically strong and tactically astute with physical attributes and volumes of top-flight experience, Guehi and Eze both would be unbelievable signings for Tottenham. They will immediately lift Big Ange’s side, improving the first XI as well as addressing the lack of quality depth in the squad. The English duo are quality players and would fit the template of signings Spurs have made in recent years.

It would be a massive statement of intent if Daniel Levy manages to pull off a double deal in the summer. For now, it remains nothing but wishful thinking.
