Tottenham Hotspur academy talent Tyrese Hall could leave the club on loan in the summer
Tottenham Hotspur made some quality acquisitions during the January transfer window, signing Antonin Kinsky, Kevin Danso and Mathys Tel.
The injury crisis forced the Hotspur Way chiefs to spend money in the past transfer window and provide some assistance to Ange Postecoglou, who was down to bare bones in some areas of the pitch at one point. At the same time, Spurs also sanctioned some loan moves for their academy talents.
Alfie Dorrington penned a new contract with Tottenham and joined Scottish side Aberdeen on loan for the rest of the season, while Will Lankshear moved to Championship outfit West Bromwich Albion. Another academy talent who was also expected to leave the club on loan was Tyrese Hall.

Tyrese Hall was heavily linked with a move to Stoke City, but a move didn’t come to fruition eventually. The youngster featured heavily during the pre-season tour of Asia but surprisingly Ange Postecoglou has not handed him any taste of senior football. This becomes more perplexing when the likes of Damola Ajayi and Callum Olusesi have been handed first-team debuts this season.
Hall has proven during his time with the Spurs Under-21s that he warrants at least some kind of action with the first team. However, the Tottenham boss is yet to give minutes to the talented midfielder.
As a result, Spurs podcast Lilywhite Rose John Wenham expects Hall to leave the club on loan during the summer transfer window.
“I think it will be difficult for Hall because of the number of players returning,” John Wenham exclusively told Tottenham News.
“Spurs’ bench is getting stronger and stronger as the weeks go by. Therefore, you’re not going to see many of the Under-21 players in matchday squads anymore.
“In addition, Brandon Austin, Djed Spence, and Dane Scarlett are all players who have now established themselves in the squad after looking out of favour previously. As a result, Hall just needs to keep working hard until the end of the season, then in the summer, he can leave on loan.”

Many fringe and out-of-favour players have indeed been given opportunities to play by Big Ange this season, mainly due to an unprecedented injury situation. At the same time, it also comes as a surprise that an exciting midfield talent like Hall has not been given a look in even when he was used extensively during the pre-season.
Perhaps, Hall is not quite ready for first-team football at White Hart Lane, and as a result, he has been allowed to develop within the academy. With players returning back from injury and the Lilywhites now competing in just two competitions, chances of the teenager making his first-team debut this season look extremely slim.

It would be in the best of interests for all parties involved to allow Hall to leave on loan in the summer. By gaining some valuable experience in men’s football, the midfielder could come back and challenge for a spot in the senior side.
