Tottenham Hotspur could welcome back as many as five players from injury next week
The 24/25 season for Tottenham Hotspur has been plagued by injuries. So far this campaign, boss Ange Postecoglou has had to rely on a small group of fully fit players.
In the last couple of weeks, the injuries have eased off for Spurs, with Ange Postecoglou welcoming back as many as six players. Recently, the likes of Guglielmo Vicario, Brennan Johnson, Wilson Odobert, Destiny Udogie, James Maddison and Timo Werner have only just recovered from injury and have since got games under their belt which is positive news for the North London outfit.
With crucial games against AZ Alkmaar and Bournemouth coming up, Postecoglou could be in for more good news as far as the injury situation is concerned. According to a report from The Standard, Cristian Romero, Micky van de Ven, Ben Davies, Dominic Solanke and Richarlison are all expected to be available for selection within the next two weeks.

Cristian Romero, Micky Van de Ven and Dominic Solanke will all definitely be back in time for the second leg of Tottenham’s Europa League round of 16 clash against AZ Alkmaar, with a couple of them being touch-and-go for the first leg in the Netherlands next week. Next weekend’s game against Bournemouth at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium is mooted for the trio to return from injury.
Romero and Van de Ven have been sidelined since December, although the latter recovered in January and played for 45 minutes against IF Elfsborg in the Europa League before not featuring again. Their absences over the months have been hugely felt, with Big Ange’s side leaking goals at an alarming rate.
The centre-back duo’s return are eagerly awaited by both the gaffer and the fans. Solanke, meanwhile, has been out since January after hurting his knee in training in the lead up to the Everton game at Goodison Park. The club-record signing scored 11 goals and provided six assists in all competitions before he got injured.

The aforementioned report adds that Richarlison is also on the comeback trail and could be available for the visit of Bournemouth, provided he does not suffer any further setbacks during his recovery. Ben Davies, who has missed Spurs’ last two games with a knock, should be fit to make the trip to Alkmaar for the first leg.
The injury update on the aforementioned players are extremely positive. These players expected to come back into the squad shortly, will be fresh for the final run-in, having barely played any football over the last three months.
