Daniel Levy has been fortifying interest in bringing in highly regarded talents through the doors at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and nurturing them into their potential within the corridors of Hotspur Way. This is a club-wide strategy adapted by the chiefs at N17 over the past few transfer windows, and we have seen them attract many highly regarded young players given how Ange Postecoglou is not scared of giving young players their opportunities, and one of those players that the club chairman has been consistently targeting is Southampton sensation Tyler Dibling.
Dibling possesses potential in abundance
The 19-year-old has had an impressive season with Southampton, and we have seen him trouble the defenders time and time again. He is someone who has shown the capacity to dribble his way out of tight spaces with some slick footwork and, more importantly, his ability to cut inside and recognise space. And then you add how he feints away from his marker, given how he possesses an equally strong weak foot, which makes it more difficult to contain his presence.
Now given that he is still young, there is so much that he can still develop, but there are glimpses, glimpses of an excellent player in the making.
Growing competition in his signatures…

Tottenham want to bring him to N17, but they aren’t alone in his pursuit. Premier League rivals Manchester United and Newcastle United are also reportedly interested in his signature. But while the English top-tier heavyweights battle it out among themselves, there is a new contender… Crystal Palace. The Eagles have entered the race to sign Dibling, and according to Mick Brown, a former chief scout for Manchester United and Blackburn, the teenager fits “perfectly” into the transfer strategy at Selhurst Park, one that focuses on signing young yet promising players and developing them for future profit.
Brown, in his column for Football Insider, spoke about how Palace have shown a good track record of identifying and nurturing talents that could give them an edge in the race for Dibling. Moreover, the potential for regular first-team football at Selhurst Park may aid him towards a move to the London Borough of Croydon.

For Tottenham, Ange Postecoglou (or whoever is the manager post this season) would love to have a player of his capacity, but there would be a lot of competition for his signature when the summer comes around, and Levy will have to start laying early grounds to ensure that Tottenham are perfectly placed to complete a deal (and beat other suitors) when the summer window comes around.
