Tottenham are planning to step up their interest in AS Monaco midfielder Lamine Camara but face competition from Liverpool
Despite a productive January transfer window that saw three players arrive at N17, Tottenham Hotspur are already planning ahead for the summer window.
But the upcoming window is expected to be much busier at White Hart Lane following an underwhelming season that currently sees Ange Postecoglou’s side lie in the bottom half of the Premier League table. They are also out of both domestic cup competitions, meaning the Lilywhites can only salvage their season to some extent by winning the Europa League.
Spurs could offload several players and replace them with fresh blood. Yves Bissouma is one of the players set to enter the final year of his contract at the club, and having failed to live up to his potential, the Hotspur Way chiefs are planning to offload him.

Replacements are also being sought for Bissouma, who has emerged as a target for Crystal Palace. According to a report from CaughtOffside, Tottenham are stepping up their interest in AS Monaco midfielder Lamine Camara. They are planning to make an approach for the player soon, having scouted him multiple times this season.
Lamine Camara joined AS Monaco from FC Metz in July 2024 and has enjoyed a fantastic debut season in the Principality. He has nailed down a regular starting berth in Monaco’s XI, registering two goals and six assists in 31 appearances across all competitions to date.
Considered by many to be Senegal’s best prospect since Sadio Mane, the midfielder has been on the radar of several European clubs including Liverpool, Chelsea, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich. The aforementioned report adds Monaco would loathe to lose the Senegalese international after just one season, but with interest in him rising, they could be open to offers in the region of €45-50m.

Camara is a young talent with vast potential, someone who fits the bill perfectly at Tottenham. The African starlet can operate anywhere across the middle of the park, although he excels as a No.6 in front of the backline. He would be a smart option to enhance Spurs’ pool of exciting talents whilst being a potential long-term replacement for Bissouma.
