Tottenham are keen on cutting their losses on Richarlison this summer amid interest from Everton
Tottenham Hotspur could make some big changes to their squad following a dismal 2024/25 campaign.
Winning the Europa League would salvage the campaign to a certain extent, but one cannot deny the fact that Spurs have largely underwhelmed in the Premier League and currently lie in the bottom half of the table. Several Tottenham players have been linked with an exit ahead of the summer transfer window, and Richarlison is one of those.
Richarlison’s time at White Hart Lane has not gone as planned. The Brazilian has endured injury-ravaged campaigns, limiting him to just 80 appearances for the Lilywhites since moving from Everton back in the summer of 2022. He has made just nine Premier League appearances in another injured-plagued season.
Tottenham chiefs have grown frustrated over the 27-year-old’s fitness problems and lack of availability. Having paid £60m for his services in 2022, any hopes of recouping much of that amount seem all but gone. As a result, they are ready to cut their losses on him this summer.

Ex-Spurs scout Bryan King has made a sensational transfer verdict on Richarlison. He doesn’t feel Tottenham will be able to sell the Brazil international for much more than £5-10million.
“I’d be quite pleased to see him moved on and new players brought in,” Bryan King exclusively told Tottenham News.
“I can’t see Tottenham getting much more than a figure of £5/10million. Who is going to pay big money for him? They should’ve cut their losses before, for me it has been poor business. For all those clubs who were supposedly interested in the summer, nobody stepped in and brought him.
“Therefore, I think that was his agent at work.”

Everybody associated with Tottenham knows the Richarlison transfer has not worked out. With just over two years to run on his contract (Transfermarkt) and injury problems prevailing, the South American is a depreciating asset and the sooner we offload him the better.
Everton have expressed an interest in re-signing the versatile attacker, with David Moyes viewing Richarlison as a potential replacement for Dominic Calvert-Lewin. Saudi Pro League clubs were also keen on his signature last summer and there are high chances of them reviving interest in the Tottenham man.

That being said, however, we respectfully disagree with King’s views. Spurs can easily get in excess of £15 for the South American this summer. All will depend on the club’s negotiating team, who interestingly have not enjoyed great success when it comes to offloading depreciating assets from the books in recent years.
