Luka Vuskovic in contention for Croatia’s next squad selection

Vuskovic is set to finally join Tottenham next summer, two years after the club signed him for £12 million at just 16 years old.
Croatia’s manager has now shared his thoughts on the young defender, highlighting why he is so highly rated. Vuskovic has been in outstanding form, scoring his eighth goal of the season and netting his first for Croatia’s U23 side in a match against Thailand U23.

As relayed on Twitter by @thecroatianlad, Zlatko Dalic told the media that Luka Vuskovic is being considered for Croatia’s next squad as the national team looks to strengthen its defence. After Croatia’s defeat to France in the Nations League, Dalic was asked about the teenager’s impressive form and whether he could be the answer to their defensive concerns.
Zlatko Dalic acknowledged that it is still early to make a decision on including Luka Vuskovic in Croatia’s next squad, stating that the focus remains on the recent game against France. He added that the team has three months to prepare and evaluate their options. However, Dalic confirmed that Vuskovic is a player they are closely monitoring, highlighting Croatia’s depth in defence, especially after switching to a three-man backline in the final minutes against France.
Real Madrid, alongside Atletico, have shown interest in signing Romero, putting Tottenham in a tough position to keep hold of him. If Romero leaves, Spurs will face a significant gap in Ange Postecoglou’s squad, but Vuskovic could emerge as his potential replacement.
