Tottenham forward Brennan Johnson is enjoying a brilliant individual season in front of goal
Tottenham Hotspur forward Brennan Johnson has been one of the few positives for the club this season. The Wales international is enjoying a career-best goal-scoring campaign in the Premier League and is showing no signs of slowing down. With the Lilywhites struggling to get results, fans will certainly credit the 23-year-old for giving his best and stepping up when the team needed him.
Johnson did not have the best start to the season, with the winger coming under scrutiny for not performing consistently and making an impact regularly for the team. However, the ex-Nottingham Forest player responded brilliantly to all the criticism and went on to score in seven consecutive games to silence all the critics. But the goal-scoring form did not stop there just yet.

As per Sofascore, the Spurs No.22 has played 43 games in all competitions for Spurs this season, scoring 16 goals and providing four assists. Johnson has been in scintillating form for Ange Postecoglou’s side, and his most recent goal contributions came in the side’s 3-1 win over Southampton, when the Welshman scored two goals and won the penalty for the third one.
Dominic Solanke praises Brennan Johnson’s efforts to help the team
Brennan Johnson joined the Lilywhites in the summer of 2023 with a lot of expectations. The Wales international was instrumental in keeping Nottingham Forest in the Premier League and impressed several top clubs before joining Spurs. However, the 23-year-old struggled to find form in his first season at the North London club. But his second season at N17 has been nothing but brilliant under difficult circumstances.
Speaking about how impactful Johnson has been for the club, star striker Dominic Solanke said to Sky Sports,
“Brennan is always reliable and we always know what we’re going to get from him. Yeah chipping in with that amount of goals has definitely helped the team.”
Solanke was full of praise for his teammate and wanted to give him the credit for chipping in with crucial goals when the team struggled to get going. With the club enduring the worst Premier League campaign till date, Johnson has been one of the few players that has actually stepped up when it has mattered.
