Tottenham Hotspur boss Ange Postecoglou continues to be in danger of losing his job at the end of the season
Ange Postecoglou has been on the cusp of being sacked at Tottenham Hotspur for months, with fans growing tired and frustrated of the Australian’s antics on and off the pitch.
The North Londoners have won just two of their last nine matches across all competitions, only beating Southampton and AZ Alkmaar. They faced Wolverhampton Wanderers on Sunday in what was viewed as an ideal match to prepare for the return leg against Eintracht Frankfurt in the UEFA Europa League quarter-finals, but instead they were handed a 4-2 defeat at Molineux.
This demonstrates how poor Spurs’ recent run has been. They have suffered a staggering 17 losses in the Premier League alone, and the pressure is well and truly on Ange Postecoglou. The relationship with the 59-year-old and the fans have also soured in recent months, with the Greek-Aussie tactician getting embroiled in heated confrontations with them on several occasions.
The constant underwhelming performances and results has led to Spurs supporters losing faith in Postecoglou as they have been calling for chairman Daniel Levy to sack him, and it is presently hard to see how the Tottenham boss manages to keep hold of his job at N17.
Speaking live on TalkSPORT on Monday, host Jim White revealed what he has heard from people about Postecoglou’s future after the first leg against Frankfurt at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium last week.
“I listened to them on Thursday. I was in a box with some serious moneyed people and they were saying, ‘enough is enough’,” Jim White said on TalkSPORT.

This week is likely to be a make-or-break week for Ange in regards to his future at White Hart Lane, as Tottenham take on Frankfurt in the return leg of their Europa League quarter-final in Germany. Winning the Europa League would be a silver lining in what has been a torrid season, and it would also give them a ticket for next season’s Champions League.
It seems like only a matter of time before a change is made in the Spurs dugout. Beating Frankfurt in the second leg and going all the way to win the Europa League may help Ange to salvage the season, possibly not avoid the axe. It remains to be seen how our players react to the Wolves defeat and perform in Germany in undoubtedly the biggest game of our campaign.
