Napoli boss Antonio Conte is eyeing a summer move for Tottenham star Dejan Kulusevski
Ange Postecoglou is fighting tooth and nail to keep his job at Tottenham Hotspur. His position at the club has been under extreme scrutiny for several months, but now it hinges on one game—the second leg of the Europa League quarter-finals against Eintracht Frankfurt on Thursday evening.
Recent reports suggest the Australian’s future could be sealed as early as this week if Spurs fail to beat Eintracht Frankfurt and advance to the Europa League semi-finals. In addition to Ange Postecoglou’s future, failure to win the Europa League may also lead to concerns over the futures of several first-team stars.
Dejan Kulusevski could reportedly depart the North Londoners if they fail to secure European football for next season. He could return to Serie A, where several top clubs are vying for his signature.

Serie A league side Napoli are keen to sign the Sweden international. Antonio Conte has requested the Napoli hierarchy to sign Dejan Kulusevski this summer, as he looks to rebuild his squad during the forthcoming summer transfer window. Conte was Tottenham’s manager when the club signed Kulusevski from Juventus in January 2022, and now the Italian tactician wants to be reunited with the player in Naples.
The Swede has been Tottenham’s standout performer this season and is one of the primary reasons why the club are not worse off than they already are in the Premier League. The 24-year-old has netted 10 goals and supplied as many assists in 43 appearances, flourishing in a newfound No.8 role under Ange Postecoglou this term.
Given Kulusevski has been the club’s best player in an otherwise sorry campaign, Spurs podcast Lilywhite Rose owner John Wenham wants Tottenham to do everything possible to keep hold of him. But if the player pushes to leave, he feels the club will demand more than £70m amid Napoli’s interest.
“Kulusevski is our best player,” John Wenham exclusively told Tottenham News.
“Therefore, we should be doing everything we can to keep him. I’m sure he is aware of the difficult season we’ve had. However, we shouldn’t be selling him under any circumstances.
“For me, Tottenham will demand more than £70m, when you consider what other players go for in the market and what Kulusevski brings for us. He’s still really young for the experience he has, and we need to keep hold of him.”

Being the best player by a mile in an underwhelming side, Daniel Levy cannot afford to lose Kulusevski. It is not just because the Swede has improved leaps and bounds and become a consistent performer, but also a potential new manager would want to rebuild the squad around him.
One would not expect Levy to entertain any offers for the Stockholm-born star. However, the 24-year-old might be tempted by the opportunity to play Champions League football and compete for the Serie A title with Napoli under Conte—a tactician he knows very well.

That being said, the only advantage Tottenham have at this moment is that Kulusevski’s contract does not expire until the summer of 2028 (Transfermarkt). So, if the player and his agents push for a move away from the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, Levy would be in a strong position to ask for a substantial fee.
