Andoni Iraola is all set to snub Tottenham and stay put at Bournemouth
Tottenham Hotspur fans have not tasted success in 17 years now. The Lilywhites are now more of a commercial club than a football club and that has affected the results on the pitch. Daniel Levy has made sure that the club is commercialised globally and in doing that, has failed to address the actual problem. It has been the same story under every manager for Spurs.
Another year, another manager under scrutiny. It has become the norm and this time it is Ange Postecoglou who is taking all the bullets from the media and fans for Daniel Levy. The North London club are nowhere near the top half of the Premier League this season and it looks like Big Ange will not survive the brunt of it.

Spurs started the season with high hopes after a successful first season under the Australian manager. However, lack of form and several injuries have disrupted the season and Big Ange is now on the verge of losing out his job at N17. Many fans thought that the ex-Celtic boss would get sacked during the international break, but Daniel Levy chose to stick with the 59-year-old and gave him a chance to make things right.
Tottenham might not be able to pursue Andoni Iraola
The decision to stick with Ange Postecoglou looks silly now. The Australian manager looks out of his depth and has also lost the support from the fans, after coming a crossroads with them during the club’s game against Chelsea. Now, the only thing that can save Ange his job is progressing in the Europa League and managing to win it this season.
However, Spurs are dealt with a massive blow as their managerial target Andoni Iraola is set to stay at Bournemouth next season. The Basque-born manager has done a brilliant job since joining the Cherries last season. Daniel Levy is said to be impressed with the Spaniard and had also placed him high in the shortlist of managers Spurs were targeting. But now it looks like Iraola will stay put and see out his last year at the South Coast Club.
There is also a feeling that Andoni Iraola will start negotiating a new contract with Bournemouth. This is a massive blow for Spurs in their approach for a new manager if Ange Postecoglou fails to deliver this season. The club are hoping to convince the Spaniard to join the project at N17, but it looks likely that Iraola will stay and continue at Vitality Stadium.
Andoni Iraola is one of the standout managers in the Premier League this season. He has led the club towards a potential European place for next season, as the Cherries sit in 8th place in the league. With the club performing brilliantly and producing some scintillating football, there is a growing feeling that Tottenham are missing out on a potentially world-class manager.

Was sticking by Ange Postecoglou in the international break the right decision? It looks like Daniel Levy made an error to stick by the ex-Celtic boss. The results have not at all improved, and Spurs suffered their 17th defeat in the Premier League as Wolves went on to beat the Lilywhites 4-2 on Sunday. The Europa League is the only saving grace for Ange Postecoglou, and he will hope his players will turn up for it.
