Tottenham Hotspur have struggled to get results this season. The Lilywhites have failed to hit the ground running, and key players have failed to make an impact consistently. There are problems all over the pitc,h and Ange Postecoglou is struggling to address any of those issues. With the club now hovering in the bottom half of the Premier League table, fans have seen enough and are protesting for a change in management.

Spurs have failed to deliver this season. The club’s statement signing, Dominic Solanke, has endured a tough first season at N17 and has managed to score just 11 goals for Ange’s side. In January, the North London club brought in another forward in Mathys Tel, to compete with Solanke. But the Frenchman has also failed to make an impact for Spurs, scoring just thrice since his arrival at the club.

It is a surprise to see that Ange Postecoglou’s side are the second-highest scorers in the Premier League. It certainly looks like the attacking players have failed to deliver, but the stats say otherwise. The lack of consistent goal-scoring form from certain players has made it tough for Big Ange to grind out results in close games.

Tottenham among many clubs willing to buy Hugo Ekitike

There is no surprise that Tottenham will be in the market to buy another striker to bolster their forward line for next season. With Richarlison heading towards a potential exit, the Lilywhites will be looking to sign a replacement of a higher calibre that could compete with Dominic Solanke for a starting spot in the team.

Spurs are linked with a move to sign Hugo Ekitike in the summer. The Eintracht Frankfurt star is looking to move in the summer and is attracting interest from a lot of top clubs. The Lilywhites are not the only club in the race to sign the Frenchman, with Arsenal and Liverpool also keeping tabs on the 22-year-old.

Frankfurt do want to let go of their star striker for cheap. The German club have now set an asking price for Eikitike. They value the talented striker at £86.5m and will let go if the price is met by any club. It looks unlikely that Spurs will spend that much money again on a striker, after they signed Solanke from Bournemouth last year for £65m.

Hugo Ekitike: A missing piece for Tottenham?

Hugo Ekitike is enjoying a stellar season for Eintracht Frankfurt. The 22-year-old is a modern striker and has the potential to be a world-class striker soon. As per Sofascore, the Frenchman has played in 42 games in all competitions this season, scoring 21 goals and providing nine assists. These are some impressive numbers from the talented striker.

Funnily enough, he is facing Tottenham in the Europa League quarter-finals, and it is a great chance for the 22-year-old to showcase his talent against the club that is willing to buy him in the summer. Ekitike managed to score in the first leg of the tie as well, proving why he is considered one of the best strikers in Europe currently.

Is he a good fit for Spurs? The answer is yes. The ex-PSG striker will fit in perfectly at N17. Ange Postecoglou wants his striker to drop in between the opposition defence and midfield to receive the ball and create space for the wingers. That is exactly what Ekitike does for Frankfurt. The 22-year-old is explosive, has a good goal efficiency and has a very good passing range. He is the complete package for a modern-day striker.
