Ange Postecoglou’s second season at Tottenham is not going to plan
Tottenham Hotspur star Dominic Solanke admitted that this season has not gone according to plan for the club. The Lilywhites are in the bottom half of the Premier League, having lost 17 out of their 32 games. They are also on course to finish this season with their lowest ever points total and with tough games coming up, it looks unlikely that a significant improvement will be seen.
Spurs fans have held several protests against the club’s ownership and the board due to the poor league campaign. There are calls for sacking the manager as well, with many fans getting tired of Ange Postecoglou’s inability to improve the performances and always pointing the blame on other factors.

With the club heading towards a freefall, Daniel Levy needs to act swiftly as Spurs face a crucial summer window. There are reports that Ange’s job is already under threat and the North London club are already looking at potential managerial replacements for next season.
Dominic Solanke is brutally honest about Tottenham’s season
Tottenham striker Dominic Solanke is one of many players that has not enjoyed a successful campaign at N17. The England international’s season has been halted multiple times due to injuries and it can be said that Ange Postecoglou has been quite unlucky in regards to the numerous injuries his key players have faced. However, that cannot be the only excuse for the dismal season Spurs have endured.
Talking about how the Premier League season has not gone to plan, Solanke said to Sky Sports,
“It’s difficult to pinpoint. There’s been a few factors. Obviously the team form, had quite a lot of injuries and amount of games we’ve had, it hasn’t helped with being able to rotate the team. So, it all plays a factor but still it hasn’t been a good season for us in the league.”
The Spurs No.19 added,
“Ange is trying to keep everyone positive and is trying to make sure we stay on the right track. We all know we haven’t had the best league form but he has tried to kept us going on the next game and keep trying to change the form around.”
Solanke suggests that injuries have taken a toll on the players. It has also affected the league campaign, with Ange Postecoglou finding it tough to rotate the squad. However, the former Bournemouth striker insists that Ange is still positive and helping the players turn the results around.

The Lilywhites sit on 37 points, with eight Premier League games still left to play.
