Tottenham Hotspur have entered the race for Juventus star Dusan Vlahovic
Tottenham Hotspur forwards have struggled to find consistency this season. The Lilywhites have managed to score 97 goals in all competitions this campaign, but it still feels like they have not yet found their mojo in front of goal and that has impacted the results in the Premier League. The lack of wins in the league has also put Ange Postecoglou under serious pressure.
The over-reliance on certain players to contribute to goals has finally caught up with the Lilywhites. The club’s top scorer this season is winger Brennan Johnson, who has managed to score 16 goals in all competitions. However, the lack of goal threat from the main striker is something that Spurs must address in the summer.
Last summer’s statement signing, Dominic Solanke has not enjoyed a successful first campaign at N17. The England international’s season has been plagued with injuries and lack of form. Solanke has only managed to score 12 goals in all competitions for the North London club since making the switch. Backup strikers Richarlison and Mathys Tel have also failed to make an impact this season for Ange’s side.

With Richarlison heading for an exit from N17, Spurs need to find a player who will bolster the quality of the squad and will be able to share the burden of scoring with Dominic Solanke. Daniel Levy needs to act quick to find a potential world-class striker before the start of next season.
According to Caught Offside, Spurs are interested in signing Juventus star Dusan Vlahovic in the summer. The Serbian international has a contract until 2026, and there have been no signs of a contract extension with the Italian club. The Serie A giants will look to cash in on Vlahovic this summer so that they do not lose the 25-year-old on a free transfer next season.
However, the North London club are not the only club looking to sign the Juve No.9. Arsenal, Newcastle United and Manchester United are also interested in signing Vlahovic to bolster their squad for next season. So, Daniel Levy will need to play his cards right if he wants to land the world-class player in the summer.
A good fit for Tottenham?
Dusan Vlahovic has made big steps since joining Juventus. The Serbian international has become one of the best young strikers in Europe in recent seasons and is deemed to be a potential world-class player. He is highly regarded in Turin and is competing toe-to-toe with Randal Kolo Muani for a place in the starting eleven.

The Serbian striker has also managed to create five big chances and has successfully attempted 24 key passes. His most recent contribution for Juventus came in his side’s 2-1 win against Lecce in the last game. The striker managed to assist both goals and ended up with a match rating of 8.30.

The Juventus No.9 will fit in perfectly at Tottenham. The Lilywhites need a player who is efficient in front of the goal. Vlahovic is a fox in the box and has the ability to get to the end of crosses with ease. The 25-year-old also has an excellent one-touch linkup play and tends to utilise his explosive pace effectively.
