Everton to battle Leeds United for versatile Tottenham attacker

Everton are set to rival Leeds United for the signing of Tottenham Hotspur winger Manor Solomon

Tottenham Hotspur still have a chance of lifting silverware this season and achieving Champions League football. The club is still fighting hard in the Europa League and have advanced to the semi-finals of the competition.

The North London club faces a massive summer ahead and needs to get all the decisions right if they want to perform a lot better in the Premier League next season. Apart from deciding what the future holds for boss Ange Postecoglou, Daniel Levy has to think about the incomings and outgoings during the summer transfer window.

Spurs have several players out on loan, and some of them are performing very well in different leagues. One of them is Manor Solomon, who was farmed out on loan to Leeds United in the Championship last summer.

The Israeli international has played a massive role in helping Leeds United achieve direct promotion under the leadership of Daniel Farke. After joining the Peacocks on a season-long loan, it took the speedy winger some time to adjust to the demands of Championship football. Also, a minor hamstring injury, coupled with stiff competition within the wide areas, did not allow Manor Solomon to establish himself in the starting XI.

It took him until the festive period to find his feet at Leeds United. The 25-year-old has scored nine goals and provided 11 assists in 37 games in the Championship, proving his worth to Daniel Farke’s side. And as expected, Solomon has his heart set on staying at Leeds after playing a key role in their promotion.

However, according to an exclusive report from GIVEMESPORT, Everton are set to rival Leeds to the signing of Solomon from Tottenham. The Lilywhites are ready to sell the diminutive attacker this summer and have set an asking price of £15m, with recently relegated Premier League side Southampton also showing an interest.

Leeds have made up their mind to sign the Israeli international permanently from Tottenham. So, it will be very difficult for Everton or any other club than Leeds to convince the Kefar Sava-born talent to choose their project this summer, unless the newly-promoted side from Yorkshire withdraws their interest.

More Tottenham Hotspur News:

Solomon never really got the chance to establish himself at Tottenham. As the wide attacker perhaps isn’t part of the club’s future plans, the Spurs bosses would want a potential bidding war to erupt between Leeds and Everton that helps to further drive up the price and fetches us more than £15m.
