PL rivals ready to sell key duo this summer amid Tottenham interest

Crystal Palace have resigned themselves to losing both Eberechi Eze and Marc Guehi at the end of the season

Tottenham Hotspur need to bring in reinforcements in the summer.

Ange Postecoglou has not managed to improve the team in his second season at N17, and Daniel Levy needs to show ambition in the transfer market. Given the loopholes that were exposed in the squad following an injury crisis, addressing that and bringing in the necessary players will be the focal point for Spurs as we approach the end of the campaign.

To complement the strategy of investing in young and hungry talents, Levy must bring in a few Premier League-proven commodities in the next window. With club captain Son Heung-min struggling to find form and Timo Werner heading for an exit, Tottenham need to find replacements and bring in a world-class player to fill the void for the upcoming seasons. They must also sign a quality replacement for Cristian Romero, who is keen to leave White Hart Lane amid heavy interest from Atletico Madrid.

Now, according to an exclusive report from GIVEMESPORT, Crystal Palace are anticipating that both Eberechi Eze and Marc Guehi will leave the club at the end of the season. They are planning to sell the duo after there have already been several suitors—including Tottenham—circling for their respective signatures to bolster their squads ahead of the 2025/26 season.

Eberechi Eze and Marc Guehi have been mainstays in the Crystal Palace side for the last three to four seasons and started the FA Cup semi-final victory over Aston Villa at Wembley Stadium. They have been first names on the Eagles’ teamsheet throughout the campaign, as Oliver Glasner goes in search of ending the club’s wait for silverware.

Eze has been the subject of intense speculation in recent months, with links away from Selhurst Park. Most of the Premier League heavyweights want to sign the English playmaker in the summer, so Spurs are expected to face stiff competition to secure his signature.

The aforementioned report adds that Palace could be left helpless if one of the 26-year-old’s suitors decides to take advantage of a £68million release clause which is due to reactivate during the summer, potentially allowing Eze to enter discussions over personal terms.

As for Guehi, who was the subject of a shock £70million bid from Tottenham during the winter transfer window, he will enter the final year of his contract at Selhurst Park. Having kept hold of their skipper this season despite many clubs knocking on their doors, the Eagles chiefs have now resigned themselves to having to cash in on the England international during the summer window.

As the Palace bosses have internally accepted that they will not be able to hold onto two of their most consistent and gifted players in the squad anymore, Tottenham must try to take advantage by launching an audacious double swoop.

More Tottenham Hotspur News:

Ange’s side have lacked incisiveness in the final third at times this season, thanks to James Maddison’s blowing hot and cold. Eze would address that issue whilst providing flexibility to the squad. He also fits the bill as a Premier League-proven star, with 30 goals and 23 assists for Palace in just 142 top-flight appearances. Guehi, meanwhile, would bring much-needed leadership to the Tottenham backline, which has leaked goals for fun this season. Like Eze, the England international is also a seasoned PL campaigner and would have the capacity to make an instant impact.

That said, the onus will now be on Levy to loosen his purse strings and go all out to sign both Eze and Guehi from Spurs’ London rivals.
