Richarlison is likely to be moved on by Tottenham Hotspur during the summer transfer window amid Everton interest
It is looking increasingly likely that Tottenham Hotspur forward Richarlison will head for pastures new in the summer.
Spurs need a massive squad overhaul in the summer. The Lilywhites have performed nowhere near the required standards and are just two places above the relegation zone in the Premier League. They suffered their 19th defeat of the Premier League season at Anfield. Ange Postecoglou’s side are on course to record the club’s worst-ever top-flight campaign, with the Lilywhites yet to cross the 40-point mark.
Spurs chairman Daniel Levy has some big decisions to make during the off-season. The future of Ange Postecoglou continues to be up in the air, as Levy hopes to appoint a new man in charge of Tottenham before the 2025/26 campaign commences.

A lot of players are also facing an uncertain future at the club, and they might be sacrificed as part of the squad overhaul. Now, according to an exclusive report from TBR Football, Tottenham want to sell Richarlison during the summer transfer window amid interest from Everton. However, a loan approach from Everton appears more likely, and in that case, Spurs will push for a buy obligation in a deal.
Richarlison has just not managed to get his Tottenham career going after arriving from Everton in 2022 with high hopes. The Brazilian has spent the majority of the campaign on the sidelines, thanks to a combination of hamstring, groin and calf problems. This has limited him to only 18 appearances this season, yielding five goals.
The 27-year-old is deemed surplus to requirements for the Lilywhites and wants to cash him in this summer, when he will enter the final two years of his contract at N17. (Transfermarkt). Everton boss David Moyes is keen on signing Richarlison as he views him as a candidate to potentially replace Dominic Calvert-Lewin, whose contract expires at the end of June 30.

The aforementioned report adds that a loan move appears realistic from Everton’s point of view due to Richarlison’s wages. The Toffees would be happy to take the forward on loan for the 2025/26 season, and given that they also want to fortify other areas of the squad, Moyes’ club have to be wary of their PSR restrictions this summer.
Owing to chronic injury problems and a loss of form, Richarlison’s stock is at an all-time low at this moment. So, loaning him to Everton for a season would not be the worst idea for Spurs. The South American star has enjoyed the best years of his Premier League career at Everton, and under an experienced manager like Moyes, he could regain his mojo.

A potentially strong 2025/26 season would lift the 27-year-old’s stock to some extent, which must allow the North Londoners to get a decent fee from his sale next summer. That said, a loan move to Everton would be a win-win situation for all parties involved.
