Brazilian star namedrops former Tottenham stytar who eclipsed Ronaldinho

Sandro believes former Tottenham star Gareth Bale’s brilliance eclipsed even that of the legendary Ronaldinho
Despite enduring a two-decade trophy drought and navigating a difficult period in recent years, Tottenham Hotspur has been home to some of football’s finest talents. Legends such as Paul Gascoigne, Ledley King, Luka Modrić, and Gareth Bale have all left their mark on the club, thrilling the Lilywhites’ faithful with their brilliance.
In an interview with Stadium Astro, former Spurs midfielder Sandro spoke glowingly of Bale, calling him the best player he ever played alongside, remarkably, even ahead of Ronaldinho. Sandro emphasized that, despite sharing the pitch with the Brazilian icon, it was Bale who left the most lasting impression on him.

To call Gareth Bale anything less than superhuman would be an understatement. Even during his time at Tottenham, he exuded brilliance—making 237 appearances and directly contributing to 124 goals. His move to Real Madrid saw him elevate his game to truly stratospheric levels, becoming one of the defining players of his generation.
Reflecting on his time at Spurs, former teammate Sandro didn’t hesitate in naming Bale as the best player he ever played alongside. In fact, despite having shared the pitch with the legendary Ronaldinho, Sandro suggested that Bale always had the edge, no matter where he played.
Sandro believes Bale was Tottenham’s biggest talent
Sandro declared Gareth Bale the best player he has ever played with, even ahead of Ronaldinho. He highlighted Bale’s exceptional ability to carry the ball, beat defenders, and finish clinically, though he admitted he couldn’t fully assess the Welshman’s off-the-ball contribution. What stood out most, Sandro explained, was Bale’s decisive impact at Tottenham, delivering crucial assists and scoring game-changing goals.
While his time with Ronaldinho was limited to friendlies and training sessions, Sandro underlined that Bale’s consistent influence for both club and country set him apart as the most complete player he’d ever shared the pitch with.
The Former Spurs midfielder, speaking to Stadium Astro, had big words for the Welshman
“Oh, Gareth is first, I would say the way Bale could run with the ball and dribble and score and finish the action, without the ball I don’t know, but with the ball, Bale could dribble, finish the action,”
“He’s the best player I played with, the best for club and country. I played with Ronaldinho in friendly matches once or twice, a few games and a few training sessions, but Bale was winning games for us, assists, scoring winning goals, amazing.”

Sandro’s view that Gareth Bale was a better player than Ronaldinho is certainly a bold and intriguing comparison, especially considering the stark contrast in their playing styles. Ronaldinho dazzled with flair, using tricks, flicks, and intricate dribbling to unbalance defenders and create moments of magic. Bale, on the other hand, relied primarily on explosive speed, raw power, and directness to physically overpower his opponents.
Despite their differing approaches, both were undoubtedly among the most electrifying attacking players of their respective eras. Yet, in Sandro’s eyes, it was Bale who stood above the rest.
