Tottenham face stiff competition to sign Feyenoord youngster Zepiqueno Redmond on a potential free transfer this summer
Tottenham Hotspur are expected to make some big changes to their squad after heading towards their worst-ever Premier League campaign.
The Hotspur Way chiefs are targeting a No.9 who can not only challenge Dominic Solanke for a spot in the starting XI, but also grow with the team. There is an internal acceptance that upgrades in that department are needed ahead of the summer transfer window, and with the likes of Richarlison and Son Heung-min expected to depart, Spurs will be hoping to spend the money raised by bringing in players who fit the manager’s system.
As Daniel Levy is expected to stick to his recent policy of investing in young and hungry talent with high potential, the Lilywhites have been keeping tabs on Feyenoord striker Zepiqueno Redmond ahead of the summer transfer window. With the teenager’s contract at Feyenoord running out at the end of the season, Spurs are believed to be well-positioned to add him to their squad.

A part of Feyenoord’s youth setup since 2019, Zepiqueno Redmond has gone up the ranks quickly and was promoted to the Under-21s last summer. His consistent performances at the youth level have helped him break into their first team.
The striker made his senior debut for Feyenoord back in November 2024, starting in the 4-1 Eredivisie win over Almere City. Redmond has made four league appearances whilst being involved in the Dutch side’s Champions League fixtures against both Inter and AC Milan.
Now, according to an exclusive report from The Boy Hotspur, Tottenham have upped their interest in Redmond this week. Feyenoord coach Robin van Persie has expressed hope that the teenage forward will remain at the club, though the player’s future remains up in the air, with the likes of Brighton, Bournemouth, Napoli, and AC Milan continuing to be linked with him.

Redmond coming to the end of his contract, plus his versatility to operate anywhere across the front line, are extremely enticing factors for clubs across Europe. At 18, the Netherlands Under-19 international is a talented prospect who needs nurturing with time and patience. A club like Tottenham, where the policy of developing young talents in recent years has been the core, would be a fine destination for the Feyenoord youngster.

Having upped their interest, the North Londoners mean business and want to win the race for Redmond’s signature. Should he arrive at N17, the move would represent more of an opportunity that Tottenham didn’t want to let it go rather than a player ready to make an immediate impact in the first XI.
