TTLB Opinion: Should Tottenham be serious about signing Johan Cruyff like midfielder?

Tottenham Hotspur have been looking to bring in a creative midfielder at Hotspur Way when the summer transfer window comes around, and Daniel Levy has been vouching to sign Crystal Palace maestro Eberechi Eze. The Englishman is a creative outlet known for his versatile profile who can end up adding so much to the current roster at Hotspur Way.
Eze has that exceptional dribbling ability that helps him to glide past his markers quite early, which has drawn comparisons to Johan Cruyff. Moreover, he can operate across the offensive line, giving a lot of tactical versatility to the structure; he can operate in a central attacking midfield role or on both wings.
The Arsenal academy reject also has transformed himself into a consistent goal contributor, given how he now has a couple of successive 10+ GA seasons under his belt at Selhurst Park. Moreover, he does demonstrate that calmness when facing pressure and has a good sense of decision-making in tight areas.
How does he tactically fit in at Tottenham?

Eze brings his creative playmaking to the side, given how he enhances the midfield creativity and complements players like James Maddison. Moreover, his versatility can help align with how Ange wants to implement structural and tactical flexibility.
The England international has that capacity to advance balls through his dribbles and passes, especially critical against low blocks. And lastly, he brings that quality in set-piece situations, given how he brings quality and goal-scoring opportunities from dead situations.
So where can the North Londoners fit him into the lineup?

Given the versatile profile that the England international brings to Tottenham, Eze can fit in the central attacking midfield role, and he could be a strong fit there, and he can rotate with or complement Maddison in the middle of the park. You can also use Eze in the left wing role, where he will be effective and would be an interesting inward alternative to Son Heung-min. (Eze as a player is naturally more narrow than Son.)
The 26-year-old will be less effective on the right wing, and while it is not his natural position and he would not be as effective, he can provide cover.
The Crystal Palace ace has that versatile profile that allows him to play multiple roles and bring depth and tactical options in the attacking third.

If the North Londoners are to proceed with the pursuit of Eberechi Eze, his creative prowess and versatility align perfectly with the tactical needs at N17. He will be an interesting player to have in the roster at Tottenham, but it is to be seen how this transfer would go given the interest from clubs like Manchester United and Manchester City in his signatures. And while the 26-year-old would bring a number of strong traits at Hotspur Way, that being said, attention must be given to his adaptation to his adaptibility to the pressing system deployed at Tottenham.
