Tottenham are willing to sanction the sale of Richarlison at the end of the season
Tottenham Hotspur are expected to witness plenty of changes in their squad this summer.
Ange Postecoglou is set for the sack, having failed to get a tune out of the squad and make progress in his second season in North London. Whoever succeeds the Australian in the dugout will have to oversee a strong summer transfer window, as Spurs look to turn their Premier League around next year.
Several players are set to depart as part of the squad rebuild under a potential new boss. Richarlison is one of the names whose future at the club has been uncertain since the turn of the year.

The Brazilian forward’s season has been nothing short of a disappointment amid his chronic injury struggles. He has been limited to only 18 appearances across all competitions, in which the 27-year-old has netted five goals and registered an assist. Having frustrated the club bosses due to his persistent injury struggles and unavailability, the Lilywhites are set to sanction his exit this summer.
According to an exclusive report from The Boy Hotspur, Tottenham are planning to sell Richarlison amid interest from Premier League rivals Everton and Newcastle United, and are looking to recoup around €35 million for him.
Everton have been keen on re-signing the Spurs forward on loan for the 2025/26 season. They view him as a potential replacement for Dominic Calvert-Lewin, who is set to leave Goodison Park on a free transfer this summer. While the Toffees’ talks with Tottenham are still in the early stages over a loan move, Daniel Levy is only prioritising a permanent sale.
As a result, the aforementioned report adds that the North Londoners will try to include a buy obligation in the loan agreement should Everton agree to those terms. Clubs such as Newcastle United, Wolverhampton Wanderers, Leeds United, Fluminense, Palmeiras, Neom SC, Al Hilal, Al Ahli, and Al Shabab have also expressed interest in the versatile forward.

Richarlison proved his worth at Everton, which led to a big-money move to Tottenham in the summer of 2022. However, the switch to White Hart Lane has not gone to plan. The South American is now deemed surplus to requirements at the club, and the decision-makers want to cash him in this summer, as he enters the final two years of his contract at N17.

Given Richarlison’s stock has plummeted, Tottenham must show a willingness to accept a loan-to-buy obligation deal from Everton. This would allow the centre-forward to reinvent himself at Everton—where he enjoyed the best years of his career—whilst allowing Spurs to recoup around €35 million from his sale next year.
It is high time Levy and his team make some smart decisions when offloading players. If Tottenham intend to recover its losses, we must show flexibility now and allow a loan departure for Richarlison.
