Liverpool forward Federico Chiesa is linked with a move to Tottenham
Tottenham Hotspur face a massive squad overhaul in the summer. The Lilywhites have endured a disastrous campaign and need to bring in reinforcements if they want to compete for titles next season. Ange Postecoglou’s men sit 16th in the Premier League table and there is no hiding from the fact that this has been one of the worst campaigns endured by the club in a long time.
Many key players have struggled to consistently perform this season. The injury crisis at the club has not helped Big Ange’s cause either. In fact, it has showcased the lack of squad depth under Ange Postecoglou. The Australian has been forced to play inexperienced players out of position. That has seriously impacted the club’s performances on the pitch.

Spurs forwards have also failed to step up consistently this season. Club captain Heung-Min Son has struggled to find form and it looks like the South Korea international is way past his best now. Richarlison has also struggled to stay fit for most parts of the campaign and has fallen down the pecking order under Ange Postecoglou. The same can be said for Timo Werner, who has just not stepped up for the Lilywhites since arriving at N17.
Tottenham want to sign Liverpool winger Federico Chiesa
Tottenham are looking to bolster their forward line in the transfer window. The Lilywhites face the prospect of losing Richarlison and Timo Werner in the summer and want to replace them by bringing in a reliable winger. Daniel Levy also believes that Heung-Min Son might benefit next season if Spurs sign a forward to compete with him for a spot in the starting eleven.
According to Caught Offside, Spurs are interested in signing Federico Chiesa from Liverpool. The Italy international has made just five appearances in the Premier League this season under Arne Slot. It is fair to say that Slot does not rate the 27-year-old and Liverpool would be open to sanction the move once the season ends. The Merseyside club have set a valuation price of around €15–20 million for the winger.

However, Tottenham are not the only ones that are willing to buy Chiesa. Napoli and AC Milan are also interested in signing the 27-year-old. But the Italian’s salary demands might prove to be a stumbling block for the Serie A giants. Fabio Paratici is joining Spurs in the summer and his pre-existing relationship with Cheisa would make Tottenham the favourites to land the Liverpool flop.
Should Tottenham sign Federico Chiesa?
Federico Chiesa has struggled to get regular game time at Liverpool this season. The Italy international has fallen down the pecking order under Arne Slot after arriving from Juventus last summer. It is fair to say the winger has not got a fair chance to prove his worth at Anfield.
As per Sofascore, Chiesa has played just 13 games in all competitions, scoring two goals and providing one assist. He has managed to play just 53 minutes in the Premier League this season. The lack of game time has just not helped the Italian’s confidence and a move in the summer is inevitable.

Should Tottenham sign him? The answer is no. The ex-Juventus player has clearly struggled to break into the starting eleven at Anfield, so signing him would be an error from Spurs. The Lilywhites need to focus on bringing young talents with high ceilings instead. Chiesa would not even fit into Ange Postecoglou’s system.
