Journo second guessing Ange Postecoglou verdict as Tottenham make Europa League final.

Tottenham boss Ange Postecoglou on the verge of getting sacked at N17

Ange Postecoglou is facing the heat at Tottenham this season. The Australian has been in the media spotlight for all the wrong reasons in recent months. But, the 59-year-old has responded to his critics in the best way possible after leading Spurs to the Europa League final. The Lilywhites have the chance of doing the unthinkable and win a European trophy this season.

Spurs managed to beat Bodo/Glimt in the semi-finals after putting in a solid performance. They will now head to Bilbao to take on Manchester United in twelve days’ time. The fans will feel that Ange’s men have a real chance of winning the Europa League, as they have already beaten United thrice this season in all competitions. Big Ange has a spectacular chance to end the club’s 17-year long wait for a trophy.

However, the Australian has not helped himself in domestic competitions. The North London club are enduring their worst ever Premier League campaign as they languish in the bottom half of the league table. The Europa League is the only saving grace for the ex-Celtic manager if he wants to stay at the helm beyond this season.

Ange Postecoglou should leave Tottenham even if they win the UEL

Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou is on the verge of getting sacked at N17 once the season ends. Daniel Levy has already looked for managerial replacements and it is certain that the end of the road is near for the 59-year-old. Many fans are still questioning the club’s approach regarding Big Ange’s future and no one exactly knows what will happen if the Lilywhites win the Europa League.

Respected journalist Abbi Grace Summers believes that Tottenham should still sack Ange Postecoglou if he wins the competition. Speaking on talkSPORT (via X), Grace Summers said,

“I still don’t believe he is the right man over the course of the season. I really don’t. At the minute I’m still ‘Ange needs to go’. But there is something in me when they have performances like the semi-final and do something special which makes me second guess myself.”

Abbi Grace Summers believes that Ange Postecoglou is not the right man to lead Tottenham forward. The journalist admitted that she still believes the ex-Celtic boss needs to go once the season ends. However, Summers admitted that the semi-final result against Bodo/Glimt was impressive and if Ange’s men continue in the same way, then she will start second guessing herself.

It is a little too late for Ange Postecoglou to redeem himself at N17 and stay at the club beyond this summer. The Lilywhites have already started looking at potential replacements for next season. Bournemouth boss Andoni Iraola, Crystal Palace manager Oliver Glasner, and Fulham coach Marco Silva are all on the shortlist to replace Ange Postecoglou.

However, the 59-year-old still has time to end the club’s trophy drought and keep his promise this season. Big Ange had said earlier that he usually wins trophies in his second season at a club. This can still be a reality and the ex-Celtic manager will hope that his players give everything against Manchester United and ensure that Spurs are champions.
