“Not so sure”- Reliable journo backs Ange Postecoglou to stay at Tottenham

Ange Postecoglou is under pressure to turn the fortunes around at Tottenham
Ange Postecoglou is facing the heat at Tottenham this season. The Lilywhites are enduring their worst ever Premier League campaign and sit 16th in the league table. It is now 19 league defeats for Ange’s men and there is a strong chance that they finish the season just a place above the relegation zone.
However, Spurs still find themselves in the Europa League final. After registering a comfortable win against Bodo/Glimt in the semi-finals, the Lilywhites now have the chance of ending their wait for a major trophy. The North London club takes on Manchester United in the final, a team Ange Postecoglou’s men have beaten three times already this season.

Winning the competition would also guarantee Champions League football next season. So, it is fair to say that the Europa League is acting as a saving grace for Big Ange as he looks to save his team’s blushes. Daniel Levy is still leaning towards sacking the ex-Celtic boss, regardless of the outcome in the final. The Lilywhites are looking to start fresh next season with a new project.
Ange Postecoglou to stay at Tottenham?
Earlier reports suggested that the only thing keeping Ange Postecoglou at the helm at N17 was the Europa League. Big Ange still has the chance of saving his job if he manages to lead the team towards glory in the competition. It looked to be a longshot at first, but the Australian has managed to do the unthinkable as Spurs have reached the final. They are now within touching distance of lifting silverware and ending their trophy drought.
Now, reliable journalist Dan Kilpatrick believes Ange Postecoglou might stay at the club beyond this season. Speaking on The Tottenham Way podcast (as transcribed by TBR Football), Kilpatrick said,
“Before the game (vs Bodo/Glimt), I would have said for sure, I think, you know, either way, my feeling is that he’s going to go at the end of the season. I’m suddenly feeling, you know, not so sure, because it would just be so momentous, you know, in Ange’s words, it would be massive to win this competition, I think.”

The journalist added,
“And, you know, there would be an open top bus parade, you know, down the A10 or whatever, you know, down the Tottenham High Road. And the vibes would be so good.”
Dan Kilpatrick suggested that Big Ange was leaving at the end of the season, regardless of the outcome in the Europa League. But now, the journalist believes that the ex-Celtic boss would end up staying because winning the Europa League would be momentous and massive. Kilpatrick also said that Daniel Levy would not want to sack the Australian as it would be wrong to do it immediately after winning the Europa League.

The Lilywhites are still linked with Crystal Palace boss Oliver Glasner. Levy believes that the Austrian would be the perfect manager to take Tottenham to the next level and help the club compete for trophies regularly. However, Spurs face competition from RB Leipzig for the Palace manager’s signature.
