“Making history”- Tottenham star aims to create history as UEL glory looms large

Tottenham keeper Guglielmo Vicario hopes to end the club’s long-standing trophy drought
Tottenham Hotspur keeper Guglielmo Vicario and his teammates are one step away from creating history at N17. The Lilywhites are within touching distance of winning the Europa league this season and ending the club’s long-standing trophy drought. Ange Postecoglou’s men have endured a disastrous domestic campaign, but winning the Europa League would just make this a successful season for the club.
Spurs face Manchester United in the final, a team they have beaten three times already this season. Not one person can predict how the game will unfold as both teams have struggled this season. The Lilywhites sit 17th in the Premier League table, whereas the Red Devils sit 16th. The two will fight for glory in the final and a chance to play Champions League football next season.

Club manager Ange Postecoglou has come under tremendous pressure to deliver a major trophy if he wants to save his job at N17 this season. It was reported earlier this week that the ex-Celtic boss is still tipped to lose his job once the season ends, regardless of the outcome in the Europa League final.
Tottenham keeper Guglielmo Vicario wants to win the Europa League
Tottenham players have the chance of achieving the unthinkable this season. The Lilywhites find themselves in the Europa League final and they are ninety minutes from lifting the trophy. Winning the competition would bring an end to the 17-year wait for silverware at N17. It would also mean that Spurs would win their first European trophy in 41 years.
Now, Guglielmo Vicario is aiming to create history for Tottenham this season. Speaking to Gazzetta dello Sport, the Italian said,
“We want this trophy because it would mean making history for this club, ending up in the photos that are inside the stadium, seeing ourselves again next year as we walk down the corridor that leads to the locker rooms while we lift the cup: we want to try to do that.”
Guglielmo Vicario suggests that winning the Europa League would mean making history at Tottenham. The Italy international is aiming to win the competition so that the team’s trophy-winning pictures end up on the stadium’s walls as they walk down the corridor for games next season. Vicario also insists that featuring against United is going to be a great opportunity as he would not get to play in a European final often.

The Lilywhites have their biggest game of the season coming up and fans will hope that the players step up when it matters the most. Ange Postecoglou will also hope to end the season on a high and give the fans a lasting memory if they manage to win the Europa League. A new manager is likely to arrive at N17. But Big Ange cannot focus on that too much right now, and instead put all his energy towards the task at hand. That is, winning the Europa League.
