Tottenham Hotspur need to bring in new signings to address the squad depth at N17
Tottenham Hotspur have a great chance to build on the Europa League success and kickstart a new era at N17 in the summer. The North London club ended its 17-year wait for a major trophy at the end of the season and fans had hoped that it would be the start of a new era at Hotspur Way after years of heartbreak and new misses.
However, the Lilywhites have struggled to land any of their potential summer targets yet. While Spurs’ rivals have already started making moves by bringing in new players, the North London club is already lacking behind and missing out on the quality players. There is an urgent need of new arrivals in the summer to address the problems on the pitch.

One of the main reasons why Spurs struggled to get going this season was the lack of squad depth. The Lilywhites just did not have enough firepower in their squad to improve on their domestic results, and that put Ange Postecoglou in tremendous pressure as well. Now that the club has qualified for Champions League football for next season, fans will hope that Daniel Levy brings in quality players to bolster the squad depth for the upcoming season.
Paul Robinson wants Tottenham to be prepared for next season with enough manpower
Tottenham need to be proactive in the summer if they want to close the gap on their rivals next season and compete for trophies. The Lilywhites cannot start the season without addressing the problems in the squad as that will only put the pressure on Big Ange and his players. Fans are also hoping that Spurs at least make a move on one of the intended targets in the coming days.
Now, ex-Spurs player Paul Robinson has also urged the Lilywhites to address the problems in the squad and bring in more depth. Speaking to Tottenham News, Robinson said,
“They’ve been hit with a lot of injuries. Squad depth, the quality of squad depth. Yes, they’ve got a number of good players. However, have they got a number of good players that run deep into a squad or does the quality start waning the further down the squad you go? You need to get a squad that’s able to compete in the Champions League, not just to start in the 11.”

The former Spurs player added,
“They’re going to need a squad that’s able to compete. I mean, they’ve competed obviously in the Europa League this year whilst having a Premier League campaign. However, there was no Premier League campaign in reality.”
Paul Robinson pointed out the injury crisis at the club and urged Daniel Levy to bring in more players to bolster the squad depth at N17. The ex-Spurs player also suggested that the club will need more than 11 good players to compete in the Champions League next season. Robinson also suggested that Spurs will face many problems next season if they do not bring in new players, and the pressure will mount at Hotspur Way if they do not get going.

Before Daniel Levy negotiates a deal with any new player, the Spurs chairman must address the managerial situation at the North London club. Ange Postecoglou is still facing an uncertain future at N17 and no one knows if the Australian will stay at the helm for next season or not. The Lilywhites are wasting time in the transfer market if they continue to delay the managerial decision.
