“Pushing for him”- Johan Lange is sold on Tottenham Hotspur bound Thomas Frank

Thomas Frank is set to swap Brentford for Tottenham in the coming days
Tottenham Hotspur are heading towards a new chapter after ending the season on a high. The Lilywhites ended their 17-year wait for a trophy by winning the Europa League last month. The North London club exceeded all expectations and brought back European silverware back to N17 after 41 years in spectacular fashion.
However, the historic achievement was not enough for Ange Postecoglou to save his job at Hotspur Way. The Australian tactician was subsequently sacked by Daniel Levy just two weeks after the Europa League success. Many fans believed that winning the competition meant Big Ange would stay at the helm for next season as well.

The ex-Celtic boss was also keen to continue at N17 after ending the club’s long-standing trophy drought. He also announced during the trophy parade that ‘season three’ would be better than the previous two seasons. But Levy thought otherwise and Ange Postecoglou did not get a chance to build on the Europa League success at all.
Tottenham are in line to appoint Brentford boss Thomas Frank as the next manager
Tottenham are set to appoint Ange Postecoglou’s replacement in the coming days as the Lilywhites look to kickstart a new era at N17. It was reported earlier this week that Brentford boss Thomas Frank is set to takeover the reigns at Spurs following the Europa League success. The Danish tactician is set to beat Fulham boss Marco Silva in the race to become the next manager at Hotspur Way.
However, ex-scout Bryan King believes that Tottenham sporting director Johan Lange is keen to bring Thomas Frank to North London. Speaking to Football Insider, King said,
“I worked with Johan Lange at Aston Villa, and I know he’s got a good relationship with Frank and they’re good friends. He’s pushing for him to be appointed and is keen to work with him at Tottenham. So they’ll be taking what he says into account and it will be a boost to his chances.”

The ex-Spurs scout added,
“That’s always a good start for any manager, having close relationships with some of the staff. It helps ease him in and get his ideas across, in this case in the transfer market, because there are some improvements which need to be made. So he will have an ally already in a good position at Tottenham and then he can build on that.”
Bryan King has suggested that Johan Lange has a good relationship with Brentford boss Thomas Frank. The ex-scout insisted that the Tottenham sporting director is pushing for Frank to be appointed as new manager as he wants to work with the Danish tactician at N17. King also suggested that this can only be a good thing for Thomas Frank as it helps him get his ideas across and he will also have an ally at the club if things get tough.

As things stand, Tottenham have now gotten their man. As confirmed by Fabrizio Romano via X, Spurs have triggered Frank’s release clause and the Brentford boss will now move to N-17 with his staff. Lange has his man and we hope he will build upon Ange Postecoglou’s success in Europe least season.
