RB Leipzig star Benjamin Sesko has a choice to make in the summer amid Tottenham transfer links
Tottenham’s attacking problems last season were clear for all to see. There is no surprise that Tottenham are aiming to bring in a new striker in the summer after enduring a tough domestic campaign. With Dominic Solanke struggling to get going consistently at N17 and Richarlison potentially heading for the exit doors in the summer, Daniel Levy is targeting a quality striker that could lead the line under Thomas Frank.
As per Sport Bild, Spurs have entered the race to sign Benjamin Sesko from RB Leipzig in the summer. This comes after the Slovenia international was heavily linked with a move to the North London club’s arch rivals Arsenal. The talks have not progressed yet between the Gunners and Sesko, and it is believed that the Lilywhites see this as a perfect opportunity to hijack the deal.
However, signing the prolific striker may not be as easy as it sounds. The aforementioned report also states that Rb Leipzig are willing to part ways with the 22-year-old for a fee of around €80m to €100m. Not only that, but Arsenal have also agreed personal terms with the RB Leipzig star as they look to lure him to the Emirates Stadium in the summer.
It remains to be seen what Daniel Levy decides to do regarding the striker situation at N17. There is a clear need to bring in a quality number nine to compete with Dominic Solanke for the starting spot under Thomas frank. And Benjamin Sesko clearly fits that bill as he will provide a different dynamic to the attack next season.
