Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy questionably sacked Ange Postecoglou just two weeks after the UEL success

Tottenham fans will never forget Ange Postecoglou’s contributions at N17 after helping the club end its long-standing trophy drought. The Australian tactician perfectly resembled what the North London club was all about as he ‘dared to do’ the unthinkable last season. The ex-Celtic boss walked the talk and managed to end the club’s 17-year wait for a major trophy.

Not only that, but the 59-year-old also ensured that Spurs qualified for Champions League football next season. The trophy parade that followed the Europa League success just showed how much the historic achievement meant to the fanbase. Millions of people lined up the streets at N17 to celebrate the victory, and for many of them, Big Ange became a club legend instantly.

One can argue that Ange Postecoglou deserved to build on the Europa League success next season after leading the club to the promised land in May. However, football can be cruel sometimes and the Australian tactician departed N17 on a high after giving the fans a lasting memory. The Europa League win has surely etched Big Ange’s name in the club’s history books.

Now, Ryan Mason has decided to share his views on Ange Postecoglou’s impact at N17. Speaking to GiveMeSport, Mason said,

“Obviously, Ange had an incredible career, absolutely incredible, and I think over time, people would probably start appreciating what was just achieved at that football club, and he was the figurehead.”

Now, a new dawn is on the horizon for Tottenham as Thomas Frank is appointed as Ange Postecoglou’s successor for next season and beyond. The Danish tactician is aiming to build on the foundations laid down by the ex-Celtic boss and wants to continue the winning trend set by Big Ange. Fans will hope that Daniel Levy gives the ex-Brentford boss some time to adapt and not repeat the same mistake he made with Ange Postecoglou.
