PL rivals keen to bring back former Tottenham star Sergio Reguilon to the Premier League this summer

The Hammers are said to have entered the race to sign former Lilywhites midfielder Sergio Reguilon on a free transfer in the ongoing offseason as West Ham fortify interest in signing the Real Madrid full-back.

Reguilon had been a frustrating figure during his time at Tottenham, and this translated into the fact that the 28-year-old left-back was not given a new contract at N17, with Daniel Levy looking to let him go as a free agent this summer. This comes following brief loan spells which included successful stints with Manchester United and Brentford in the English top tier, but none of that was enough to warrant a new contract at Hotspur Way.

The 28-year-old left back was stuck in a half-dim world of the Premier League, given how he found it difficult to settle in the physical and pacey life of the English top tier, and in the final weeks of his time at Tottenham, he continued to stare at his teammates playing from the couch for most of the time despite still being employed by the club. And this is why Reguilon was among the list of others, including Alfie Whiteman and Fraser Forster, who all left the North Londoners on free transfers following the expiration of their contracts at Hotspur Way.

West Ham have been looking at Sergio Reguilon.

There are now reports from CaughtOffside insisting that West Ham under Graham Potter are showing the strongest interest among the Premier League rivals in a bid to sign Reguilon. It is said that there are interests from the likes of Everton as well as Bournemouth in his signatures.

There are also reports that he could also have been offered to Serie A giants AC Milan and Juventus. And alongside all the aforementioned clubs, Saudi Pro League clubs are also in the race to secure his signature.

Reguilon had been at the top of his game when Tottenham signed him, but he could never come through with his potential at Tottenham, but that doesn’t mean he is a bad player. He has all the attributes to become a first-choice left back, and we wish the Spaniard the best if that ends up happening at West Ham.
