Injury expert greenlights Tottenham move for Nottingham Forest playmaker Morgan Gibbs-White
Tottenham Hotspur are interested in Nottingham Forest midfielder Morgan Gibbs-White and were set to sign him earlier this month after triggering his £60million release clause. However, Nottingham Forest halted the deal after what they claim was an ‘illegal approach’.
Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis was furious about the playmaker’s situation and has blocked his move to Spurs. The player’s future at City Ground remains uncertain, but Tottenham are believed to be calm with the proceedings of his transfer and are looking to make an improved bid beyond his release clause to find a conclusion.
There is an understandable urge from Forest to keep hold of Morgan Gibbs-White, given how he was the beating heart of Nuno Espirito Santo’s side last season, and his departure would be a massive setback for the club who lost Anthony Elanga to Newcastle United earlier this month. The player returned to Forest training last week but did not travel with the squad to Portugal on Monday due to a personal matter.

Morgan Gibbs-White expected to pass his medical at Tottenham
Forest continue to play hardball over Gibbs-White’s exit, preventing Tottenham from getting their man. The England international still has two years remaining on his contract, but the Lilywhites triggering his release clause has left Forest in a pickle.
Injury expert Dr Rajpal Brar has assessed the injury situation of Gibbs-White at City Ground last season and feels he will pass his medical at the Hotspur Way if he does undergo one this summer.
“He missed just four games last season, with two of them being due to suspension,” Dr Rajpal Brar exclusively told Tottenham News.
“While he did face a late fitness call for the April fixture against Manchester United, he ended up clearing it and playing the full 90 minutes.
“I do not see him facing any issues with his medical and given his Premier League experience, adaptation to another Premier League club is also expected to be seamless.”

Tottenham hope to get resolution over Gibbs-White saga
Gibbs-White is an exciting player and would be a perfect fit in Thomas Frank’s midfield setup. He is a proven himself in the Premier League with Wolves and Forest, and at 25, the time is right for him to join a bigger club and showcase his skill-set at the highest level.
Tottenham playing in the Champions League next season would be extremely appealing to the English playmaker. Daniel Levy is aware that Gibbs-White wants to come to White Hart Lane and join Frank’s forces, so we must stay firm and avoid overpaying to secure his signature. Let’s hope we get a resolution over this saga as quickly as possible.
