Tottenham star Dejan Kulusevski is back to kicking a football for the first time since May
Tottenham Hotspur midfielder cum forward Dejan Kulusevski has been sidelined for a long time, with many Lilywhites faithful looking forward to welcoming him back at Hotspur Way given how he brings a lot of charisma in his own silky way to the roster.
And while the roster of the squad continues to tour Asia for the preseason ahead of the upcoming 2025/26 campaign, the Swede has stayed back at Hotspur Way in London, where he will be alongside the likes of Destiny Udogie, Radu Dragusin, and Manor Solomon. The former Juventus ace is nursing his way back from a foot injury, which ruled him out of the season in the conclusive weeks, including that massive night against Manchester United in the Europa League final.

And now the 25-year-old has taken a significant step forward in his injury recovery, with him kicking a ball for the first time since March.
Tottenham’s new head coach, Thomas Frank, recently confirmed that Kulusevski will not be fit to start the new season, but this latest news will be a source of encouragement for many Lilywhites supporters.
Dejan Kulusevski uploads Instagram story

Now the Swede has uploaded clips of himself doing some light keepy-uppies with the ball and then volleying the ball against a net, and at least from how it looked on the story, he looked to be moving comfortably without any visible signs of discomfort. And this is the first time Kulu has been able to kick a ball in over four months.
While there is not a timeline yet about when Kulusevski can return for Tottenham, at least this club shows that he is ready to take the next steps in his rehab.
We all expect Dejan Kulusevski to be an integral figure in that Tottenham front line under Thomas Frank, but this is something the North Londoners can plan down the line given that the Lilywhites without him need a plan for the opening stretch of the season.
Solanke is the nearest to return from injury for Tottenham, with the former Bournemouth striker eyeing a possible return for the Bayern friendly as he looks to be involved against PSG in the Super Cup in some capacity.
We will see how these go, but for now watching Kulusevski taking his first steps back is massive when it comes to the impact that he can have once he is back to full fitness.
