Randal Kolo Muani has rejected a move to Tottenham Hotspur this summer
Tottenham Hotspur have finally achieved what they have been waiting for. We are back in the UEFA Champions League after beating Manchester United in the UEFA Europa League final last season. The courage and intelligence with which the team played under Ange Postecoglou was commendable, but now the reins are in the hands of Thomas Frank. A new beginning has been made, and this time we come with the hope of not just playing in the Champions League, but doing something special there.
This summer window the club have already indicated that they are not going to do anything half-hearted. Mohammed Kudus has given a new edge to the attack. Bringing in Mathys Tel on a permanent deal seemed a smart decision, especially given Richarlison’s erratic form. Still, it seems that the lack of a top-class number nine is still felt. Last week, Footmercato reported that Spurs had shown interest in Paris Saint-Germain’s Randal Kolo-Muani. Manchester United were also in the race, but we were not far behind.
The story of Randal Kolo-Muani
Randal Kolo-Muani scored eight goals in the Serie A during his time playing for Juventus in the second half of last season in 2024/25. Juventus wanted to sign him again, and that’s when the Italian press started to make a fuss, with the names of Tottenham and United linked. Tuttosport has now clarified that Kolo-Muani has rejected the offers from both English clubs. He wants to return to Juventus, and his loan deal with PSG is almost certain, €10-15 million loan fee and a €30 million buyout obligation.
Juventus were slow to agree on the deal, but the pressure mounted with the names of Spurs and United. Now that pressure has worked in Juventus’ favour. PSG and Juventus are on the verge of reaching an agreement for the 26-year-old French striker. This means we must now look at their other options, and look quickly because the season is about to start.
Look at Yoane Wissa, don’t wait
Now that Kolo-Muani is out of the question, Tottenham shouldn’t look back. Brentford’s Yoane Wissa is a great option. The Bees have now reportedly given the green light to sell him. Wissa’s Premier League experience, his pace, and his knack for converting chances in the box without panicking—these are the traits what our squad have been lacking on a consistent basis. A reliable replacement for Richarlison is what we need this summer, not the January window.
If Spurs have second thoughts, another club will snap up Wissa. The Brentford striker’s goal threat and versatility will add depth to our front three. Wissa can play alongside Kudus, Kulusevski and even play as a lone striker if needed. This deal could prove to be far more beneficial than Kolo-Muani—more utility, form and Premier League-friendly. Kolo-Muani’s story is over, and hence we should move on to Wissa. We have been linked with the Brentford striker for quite some time, and he reportedly wants Tottenham as well.
