Tottenham star Mohammed Kudus is aiming to make his presence felt at N17 following a high-profile switch from West Ham earlier last month
Tottenham star Mohammed Kudus is already impressing everyone at the club following his high-profile switch from West Ham. The Ghana international instantly won the hearts of the fans after it was revealed that he snubbed numerous top clubs to join the Lilywhites. Now, every fan will hope that the passion to represent the badge can be replicated on the pitch as well.
It is safe to say that the 24-year-old has already made an impact at N17 and has looked lively in pre-season. The prolific attacker has also managed to create a good first impression in front of his new teammates. Earlier this week, Brennan Johnson put out a statement saying that Kudus is a ‘great player’ and the ex-West Ham star brings a new dynamic to the attack.

With Spurs looking to fight hard on all four fronts next season, it is important that the new signings adapt to their surroundings quickly. Thomas Frank relies heavily on his wingers for goalscoring opportunities and chance creation. So, Kudus will need to be at his ‘A-game’ throughout the season if he wants to make a mark at N17.
Tottenham star Mohammed Kudus is already turning heads at N17
Not many are expecting Mohammed Kudus to hit the ground running at Tottenham following his high-profile switch. The Ghana international struggled to perform consistently last season for West Ham. And that put a doubt in some fans’ mind that signing the 24-year-old was a risky move that the North London club decided to take.
Lilywhites Rose owner John Wenham was amongst a few that feared signing Kudus was not worth a risk. However, the prolific winger’s strong start to life at N17 has made Wenham consider his decision. Speaking to Tottenham News, Wenham said,
“Kudus is significantly better than I thought he was. I think he’s already in our top five best players. Kudus is an extremely good signing. I think he’s a massive upgrade on Johnson. That’s no disrespect to Johnson, because he scores a lot of goals, and scoring goals is what football is all about.”
The Lilywhite Rose owner added,
“But Kudus brings so much to the team. He’s got that ability like Moussa Dembele to pick up the ball in tight areas, dribble past two or three people, and he either makes something happen or wins a foul. He looks like a phenomenal signing. Therefore, I’m delighted with that.”
John Wenham admitted that Mohammed Kudus is ‘better’ than he thought, also adding that the winger is one of the best players in the club. The Lilywhite Rose owner believes the Ghana international is better than Brennan Johnson on the right flank as he brings much more on the table than the Spurs No.22. Not only that, but Wenham believes Kudus can go past defender with ease and carry the ball in tight spaces, leading to a chance creation or a foul in the final third of the pitch.
