“He will give everything”- Tottenham legend Harry Kane is ‘confident’ new Spurs signing will do well at N17

Tottenham midfielder Joao Palhinha will be keen to make his mark at N17 in the upcoming season

Tottenham recently confirmed the signing of Joao Palhinha from Bayern Munich on an initial loan deal. The Lilywhites also retain an option to buy him permanently next summer if all things go well in the upcoming season. And it is fair to say that the Portugal international is looking to make his mark at N17 after enduring a tough stint in Germany.

The lack of consistent game time and the manager not trusting his ability really costed Palhinha big time. But signing for Spurs is surely a good step taken by the 30-year-old as he looks to rejuvenate his career. The holding midfielder has already shown his qualities in the Premier League before with Fulham. And it is fair to say that having the Portuguese star in the starting eleven does bring some surety in midfield.

Now, Thomas Frank will hope to bring the best out of him as Spurs get ready for a new era at N17. The Danish tactician will rely heavily on Palhinha, especially during big games due to the midfielder’s ability to break down play and win the ball back. Not only that, but the 30-year-old also likes to give his all during games, which is an added benefit to have.

Tottenham fans can get excited about Joao Palhinha

Tottenham’s newest recruit, Joao Palhinha is looking to make the most out of his time at N17. The Portugal international is keen to win trophies with the Lilywhites in the upcoming season. With the fans hoping that the 30-year-old makes an instant impact under Thomas Frank, there is also a bit of concern about the ex-Fulham star’s match fitness heading into the new season.

However, Spurs legend Harry Kane believes that the holding midfielder will do well at N17 and win over the fans. Speaking to Tottenham’s media team, Kane said,

“He’s tough, he tackles hard, he’s good on the ball, he knows the Premier League well from his time at Fulham and he’s a guy that will give everything for you. I know he’s going to a good place and he’ll hopefully get some more game time and show what he can do.”

Harry Kane has pointed out that Joao Palhinha likes to go all-in for the ball and has the ability to maintain possession for the team. The Spurs legend also shares that Palhinha will give his all for the club and his experience in the Premier League will do him a world of good. Kane also believes that the 30-year-old is at the right club and he will get plenty of opportunities to shine under Thomas Frank.

Only time will tell if the ex-Fulham star’s stint at N17 will be termed as a success or a failure. But for now, the fans can be excited about Palhinha’s experience and his ability to elevate the quality of the midfield as Spurs kickstart a new era under Thomas Frank.
