Tottenham Hotspur can land Manchester City star Savinho for €50m
Daniel Levy has been looking to bring in a new wide forward in the ongoing summer transfer window, and in pursuit of a marquee signing, the North Londoners are said to have opened discussions with Premier League rivals Manchester City as the Lilywhites chiefs try to explore a move for winger Savinho, with a deal looking possible in the region of €50 million, according to David Ornstein of The Athletic.
That being said, the Cityzens are not actively looking to sell the 21-year-old given how he showed glimpses of his potential on multiple occasions in the last season. That being said, the Brazilian is understood to be open to a switch to North London, and Pep Guardiola is known for allowing players to leave if they push for an exit, and Tottenham are ready to test the waters.
Savinho is a top talent

The Brazilian is someone who has that rapidness about him, but then he also has that close control of the ball which allows him to easily beat his marking defenders. He is also quite good when it comes to operating in tight spaces.
If Tottenham are to sign him, he would be an ideal arrival to fill the void in that left channel after Heung-min Son departed to MLS earlier this summer. And in Savinho, Frank can bring someone who has that capacity to fill in his shoes in the long run. The Brazilian is more of someone who drives with the ball from outside to inside (much like Son), and then you’d see him drift into central areas whilst linking with the runners around him. He is a kind of player that Frank would love in his system.
Should Tottenham spend €50m on Savinho?

That being said, if we start looking at the financial side of this. Bringing him to Tottenham on a €50m deal would make him one of the North Londoners most expensive signings in history but this will also be a statement singing that Daniel Levy is looking to make given that it shows how the Lilywhites want to sign players who have the capacity to raise the technical ceiling immediately.
Talks are ongoing at the moment and given Savinho’s openness to the move could end up proving decisive.
