Tottenham manager Thomas Frank is looking to make his mark at N17 in the upcoming season

There is a sense of excitement around Tottenham as the club kickstarts a new era under Thomas Frank. The new season starts on Wednesday for the Lilywhites as they take on PSG in the UEFA Super Cup final. This a massive game for the North London club, as it will give them a chance to win their second major trophy in the space of three months.

Not only that, but Thomas Frank will also be able to lay a solid foundation for the rest of the season if Spurs manage to get over the line against the French giants. The Danish tactician had made it abundantly clear that he wants to make the Lilywhites ‘serial winners’ during his time at N17. And the only way to achieve that is by winning crucial games when it matters the most.

The ex-Brentford boss has already made a good impression amongst the club’s hierarchy. Club chairman Daniel Levy also shared recently that he believes Thomas Frank is the right man for the job and the Dane will lead the North London club to glory. All eyes will be on how the 52-year-old fares at N17 as he looks to build on the foundations set by Ange Postecoglou.

There is no surprise to see Tottenham up their ante in recent days after taking a slow approach in the transfer window earlier in the season. The Lilywhites are looking to strike possible deals with several players at once after keeping tabs on them. Not only that, but Thomas Frank is also pushing the club to bring in new players before the new season commences.

Now, the Spurs manager has given an update regarding the situation at N17 as we approach the business-end of the transfer window. Speaking in the press conference (via Tottenham’s official website), Frank said,

“I think I have a good team and a good squad. This transfer window, we are definitely in the market and will do everything we can to make the best possible and strong squad for September 1 so there are a few things in the air shall we say along the way.”

Thomas Frank has suggested that he is ‘happy’ with the players he has available right now for the upcoming season. But the Danish tactician also shared that the Lilywhites are also looking to bring in new players if the opportunity arises, as the club is looking to build a strong squad for next season. The Spurs manager has given hope to the fans there is a possibility of one or two deals being done before the window shuts.

Spurs have reignited their interest in Crystal Palace star Eberechi Eze after the England international showed signs of interest regarding Thomas Frank’s project. That is not the only deal that the Lilywhites are focusing on before the new season commences. It was also reported that Tottenham are in the driving seat to land Manchester City star Savinho in the coming days, after the player gave the green light for a summer switch.
