Tottenham Hotspur star Richarlison wants to feature regularly for the club in the upcoming season
Tottenham forward Richarlison has not endured a successful stint at N17 following his high-profile switch from Everton. The player, the fans, and the club are aware of that and it seems like the Brazil international carries the weight of performing well every time he puts on the Lilywhite jersey. For most parts of the window, it also seemed like the end of the road was nearing for the 29-year-old at N17 as he was linked with a summer move.
But as we approach the business-end of the transfer window, there is a high chance that the ex-Everton star will be retained by Spurs for the upcoming season. The struggling forward managed to make his way into the line-up for the North London club’s crucial game against PSG in the UEFA Super Cup as well.

And it is fair to say that he worked his socks off before being substituted in the 72nd minute. Many fans thought bringing Richarlison off was the wrong move by Thomas Frank, as he was continuously keeping the PSG defenders on their toes and pressing the French giants from the front. The Brazilian was also helping defensively and making it tough for the Ligue 1 champions to play out from the back.
Tottenham forward Richarlison is keen to perform well under Thomas Frank
Tottenham boss Thomas Frank is adamant to start on a positive note in the upcoming season as the Lilywhites look to compete hard on all four fronts. And to achieve that, the Danish tactician will need all his players to be ready to play well week in week out as they look to build on the Europa League success. The Spurs manager wants his players to work hard, and that is what the fans expect from the team as well.
Now, Richarlison has also come out and said that he wants to prove his worth to Thomas Frank in the upcoming season. Speaking to Globo Esporte, the attacker said,
“Working with Thomas Frank has been great so far. He’s given all of us a lot of confidence and has been really good in our conversations. I hope to repay that on the pitch.”
It is clear to see that the Spurs forward wants to make his mark at N17 and be useful to Thomas Frank for the upcoming season. So far, Richarlison has not done anything to warrant an automatic place in the starting eleven for a stretch of games. But if he continues to perform like he did against PSG, then there is a strong chance that he might push for a place in the line-up instead of Dominic Solanke.
Will the Spurs No.9 manage to turn around his fortunes at Tottenham? Only time will tell. But as long as the transfer window is open, do not rule out a possible summer switch as the Brazil international will look to play regularly in the upcoming season.
