Wayne Rooney expects Tottenham Hotspur to do well under Thomas Frank
A new era is about to kickstart at N17 as Tottenham look to build on the Europa League success in the upcoming season. The Lilywhites have a lot riding on them, and fans will hope that the players can step up and rise to the occasion when it matters the most. Newly appointed manager Thomas Frank will also hope that the North London club can aim to start the season on a positive note to say the least.
The Danish tactician wants to make his mark at the club, and has clearly stated that he wants to make Spurs ‘serial winners’ in the next few years. It is easier said than done, but the ex-Brentford boss is adamant to make his team compete hard on all four fronts heading into the new season.

The players also seem to be onboard with how Thomas Frank operates and the squad harmony looks great. Spurs defender Djed Spence recently revealed that the new manager just wants to always win no matter what. And the players are motivated to prove critics wrong and build on last season’s European success.
Tottenham predicted to challenge for Europe if all things go well
The performance against PSG will give a lot of Tottenham fans some clarity as to how Thomas Frank is going to set up his team. The Lilywhites came within touching distance of winning yet another major trophy and causing an upset. But it was not meant to be as PSG found a way through and won the game on penalties. However, the way Spurs performed showed that they are not to be taken lightly under Thomas Frank.
Now, Wayne Rooney has given his verdict on where the Lilywhites will finish in the upcoming season. Speaking on BBC Match of the Day (via X), Rooney said,
“I think the balance of the team looks a lot better, even just from that 90 minutes watching them play. The balance looks much better, so I think if they keep that balance, they can be challenging for Europe.”
Wayne Rooney pointed out that Tottenham looked composed against PSG, and the balance of the team felt right for most parts of the game. The legendary striker added that Thomas Frank must look to keep that balance in the team and play each player to their strengths. Rooney has predicted that the Lilywhites will challenge for Europe if they manage to perform in the same way that they did against PSG.
A long run in one of the cup competitions, along with a top-half Premier League finish will be considered as a successful season for Tottenham. Thomas Frank wants to compete hard on all four fronts in the upcoming season. Whether that is possible or not is a different issue, but the Danish tactician will look to make life tough for opposition teams.
