Tottenham Hotspur backed for making ‘sensible’ decision following Postecoglou sacking; irresposibility a thing of the past

Tottenham boss Thomas Frank is aiming to make his mark at N17 and win some trophies during his time at the club

Tottenham boss Thomas Frank has managed to make a good impression during his first few months at N17. The Danish tactician is known for his man-management skills and his tactical flexibility. But the highly-rated manager has more qualities that he can offers and that makes him a perfect fit for a club like Spurs.

The difference between Ange Postecoglou and Thomas Frank is night and day. The former wanted his team to play ‘all-out’ attacking football no matter what, with no real tactical decisions made during the games. That made the Lilywhites easy to play against and they struggled to carve out positive results in the Premier League.

Whereas, Thomas Frank’s approach is much more ‘pragmatic’ and hands-on. The Danish tactician wants his team to stick to the same gameplan if it is working well, and there is a clear vision as to what the Lilywhites are trying to build under him. The performance against PSG showcased that Spurs were tactically brilliant and were head and shoulders clear than the reigning Champions League winners for most parts of the game.

Tottenham hiring Thomas Frank might be what the club needed at this time

There is not much to complain about Thomas Frank during the first couple of months that the Dane has been at N17. The ex-Brentford boss is adamant to make his mark at the club, and has also highlighted that he wants to make Tottenham ‘serial winners’ during his time at the helm. This can only be seen as a positive as the Lilywhites look to build on the Europa League success in the upcoming season.

Now, Simon Jordan as given his verdict on Thomas Frank’s appointment as the new Spurs manager. Speaking on talkSPORT (via X), Jordan said,

“I think Thomas Frank is a sensible appointment. I think they’re a better side under him than they were under Ange Postecoglou for a different set of reasons. He’ll (Thomas Frank) be lesser irresponsible at times.”

The renowned pundit added,

“I think he’ll give the team some balance. When the ball gets lost, they won’t be so ‘gung-ho’, they won’t be ‘kamikaze’ in some of their thinking. And that can’t be something that people disagree with. I think Tottenham will be an interesting watch this season.”

Simon Jordan believes Tottenham did the right thing by appointing Thomas Frank as the new manager. The renowned pundit insists that the Lilywhites play better under him and there is a clear gameplan on and off the ball. Jordan also believes that Spurs will be a team to keep an eye on as the season progresses, with the Danish tactician at the helm.

There is a buzz in the air around N17 as Thomas frank has promised the fans that his team will ‘come out flying’ against Burnley in the first game of the Premier League season. The Danish tactician is keen to make a positive start to his tenure, and winning the first game of the season will surely be a great way to kickstart a new era.
