Tottenham defender Djed Spence has full faith in Thomas Frank to lead the club to glory

Tottenham are looking to kickstart a new era at N17 under Thomas Frank. The Lilywhites want to build on the Europa League success in the upcoming season. And the best way to do that is by aiming to compete hard on all four fronts from minute-one and starting the new campaign on a positive note. That is what the new Spurs manager will look to do as he aims to make his mark at Hotspur Way.

The Danish tactician is highly-rated in England for the wonderful job he did at Brentford. Thomas Frank led the Bees to top-flight promotion back in 2021, before making them a solid mid-table team in the Premier League. Now, the Spurs fans will hope that their new manager can replicate the same magic at N17.

Tottenham boss Thomas Frank will be looking to make his mark at N17.

The ex-Brentford boss has made it clear that he wants to make Spurs ‘serial winners’ during his time at the helm. It is easier said than done, and Thomas Frank will hope that his team can reciprocate the same energy and fight in the upcoming season. All eyes will be on the Danish tactician and how his team performs week in week out against top opposition.

Djed Spence believes Tottenham have done the right thing by hiring Thomas Frank

Tottenham will look to be tactically flexible and defensively resolute under Thomas Frank. The Lilywhites conceded a lot of goals last season, and the same cannot happen again under the Danish tactician if the club wants to endure a successful domestic campaign. So, the ex-Brentford boss will need to focus on making his team compact and tough to play against in the upcoming season.

Now, Spurs defender Djed Spence has concurred with the same thoughts as the club looks to kickstart a new era at N17. Speaking to Hayters TV, Spence said,

“I don’t want to go into too much detail (about Frank’s demands) but I think the main thing is be solid at the back and our target is to keep as many clean sheets as possible. You do that and you win trophies, you win titles.”

The Spurs full-back has indicated that Thomas Frank wants his team to be solid at the back and not concede too many unnecessary goals. Djed Spence has also pointed out that the main job of the defence is to keep clean sheets. By achieving that, Spurs will automatically compete for titles and win trophies in no time.

Will there be a massive change in the way Tottenham play? We will have to wait and watch. The new Premier League season is on the horizon, and all eyes will be on how the Lilywhites manage to make the most of their adaptability to Thomas Frank’s system.
