The Serie A giants looked at Bissouma’s profile and believed that he would fit in perfectly under Igor Tudor. However, the move fell through after Juve failed to match Spurs’ €20m valuation for the Mali international.
As per Sacha Tavolieri (via X), Yves Bissouma wants to continue fighting for his spot at Tottenham and the 28-year-old would only consider moving to a new club if he is being pushed out by Thomas Frank. The reliable journalist also adds that the Mali international is keen to continue in England as he would obtain a British passport if he stays in the country for another year.
Not only that, the report also confirms that West ham United and Everton have still not given up on signing the 28-year-old in the summer. His main priority is to play in the Premier League, so a decision regarding his future will be made in the coming days. With time running out, Daniel Levy must decide on Bissouma’s future quickly.
The ex-Brighton star only has a year left in his Spurs contract. So, all factors point towards a summer exit as the Lilywhites will look to gather a fee for the midfielder, instead of losing him on a free next summer. One can also argue that Joao Palhinha, Pape Matar Sarr, and Archie Gray are all favoured more by Thomas Frank and the Malian will find it tough to feature regularly under the Spurs manager.
