Mohammed Kudus has no intentions of slowing down after a solid display on his home debut for Tottenham
Tottenham fans can be happy that the club have managed to sign a Premier League-proven star in Mohammed Kudus in the summer. The Ghana international has immense potential to be on the best wingers in the league, and just needs the right environment and system to flourish in. It is fair to say that his time at West Ham was full of ups and down.
And that is why many Spurs fans were sceptical about the Lilywhites willing to land him for the upcoming season. As per Sofascore, Kudus only managed to register five goals and four assists in 35 games last season for the Hammers. Those are underwhelming numbers for a player that was sold to the North London club for around £55m.

But one may also argue that the system that he was playing in under Graham Potter did not suit his game-style at all. Hence, he decided to switch clubs and join Spurs to play under Thomas Frank. The Ghana international is keen to prove his worth at N17 and prove his critics wrong by playing a vital part for the team.
Mohammed Kudus is aiming to improve at Tottenham this season
Tottenham star Mohammed Kudus certainly had a home debut to remember against Burnley last weekend. The 25-year-old managed to grab two assists in his first Premier League game of the season for the club. And he also managed to ‘wow’ the fans with his skills and trickery. The Ghana international certainly showed why the Lilywhites paid the big bucks to get him to N17.
Now, the Spurs winger has come out and said that his performance against Burnley is ‘just the beginning’ and he aims to improve more. Speaking to the Tottenham media team, Kudus said,
“I think the intrinsic motivation is already inside me to always deliver and do well. That’s what I feel before a game, you definitely feel something in your belly.”
The Spurs attacker added,
“I really want to perform and do my best, but with the help of the team, like I said, they really helped me settle in quite well, but I still have a lot to improve on and a lot more to show. It’s just the beginning.”
Mohammed Kudus shares that he always has that fire inside his belly to perform well and deliver for the team. The Ghana international adds that he wants to give his all for the Lilywhites, and thanks his teammates for helping him to settle in quickly. Kudus also acknowledges the fact that he still has a lot to learn and show, and his brilliant performance against Burnley was ‘just the beginning.’
Fans will be happy to know that the new signing is determined to prove his worth and not taking the chance to play for the club for granted. Kudus has always been a player that tries to keep the fans on the edge of their seats. So if he continues to perform like he did against Burnley, he will be just fine.
