Manchester City star Savinho is keen to move to Tottenham as he hopes to play regularly under Thomas Frank
Tottenham have not yet thrown in the towel after facing a public embarrassment at the hands of Arsenal. The Lilywhites were all but set to sign Crystal Palace star Eberechi Eze before the transfer window shut after the player agreed personal terms with the club. The only thing left was for Daniel Levy to reach an agreement with the Eagles. But he failed to do so, and Arsenal swopped in and hijacked the deal at the eleventh hour.
Now, Spurs are looking to find a way to not give in to the mess that they are in. Daniel Levy is hoping to land a quality player before the window shuts to give Thomas Frank the best chance to compete on all four fronts this season. With time running out, the Lilywhites need to up their ante and land a player that could make an impact in the final third of the pitch.

As of now, there have been no indications that Tottenham are going to sign a new player that would elevate the quality of the squad going forward. Fans will hope that Daniel Levy manages to save the window by signing someone that could fill in the void left behind by James Maddison and Heung-Min Son.
Tottenham still pushing to sign Man City star Savinho
It was reported earlier that Tottenham were interested in landing Manchester City star Savinho. The Brazil international was also thought to be keen on the move as he looked regular game time. However, the Lilywhites suffered a setback as an official from Manchester City’s board was blocking the move in the hopes of getting the 21-year-old to stay. This put the deal in jeopardy and it looked like Savinho would not head for pastures new.
However, Fabrizio Romano has provided us with a new update regarding the transfer saga. Speaking on his YouTube channel, Romano said,
“Tottenham had new contacts over a deal for Savinho today. Someone in Manchester City hierarchy is pushing to keep the player, but Spurs are pushing to sign him, insisting that they want to do a deal.”
The journalist has added,
“Spurs believe he would be a perfect signing. Thomas Frank is ‘in love’ with the player and really wants him. The player is keen on the move, for sure.”
Fabrizio Romano has indicated that Tottenham are still not giving up on Savinho and initiated new contacts, even though a Manchester City official is blocking the move. The journalist added that the Lilywhites want to land the Brazilian at any cost as he would be the ‘perfect’ signing. Romano also suggests that Thomas Frank is pushing for the move as the Dane is ‘in love’ with the player.
It remains to be seen how the last few days play out in this transfer saga. Despite the setback the Lilywhites suffered earlier this week, fans will be happy to see Daniel Levy not giving up on trying to improve the squad before the window shuts. For Spurs to compete on all four fronts this season, Levy will need to bring in quality players in the coming days.
